How to orderSpecifications
Custom Reflective Bicycle Decals run on 4 mil white PVC calendar film with a reflective vinyl surface bonded to the face. Every decal ships die-cut to your exact design shape and UV-printed in full color. They apply permanently to painted metal, carbon fiber, and aluminum bicycle frames, forks, and rims.
- Material
- 4 mil white PVC calendar film with reflective vinyl surface. Thin but sturdy. Conforms to slightly curved tube and fork surfaces without lifting.
- Print Method
- UV printed. Ink cures instantly under ultraviolet light for a scratch-resistant, waterproof surface that holds under road vibration.
- Color Output
- CMYK full color at 720 DPI minimum. CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) reproduces your artwork accurately across the reflective surface.
- Finishing
- Die-cut to custom shape. Kiss-cut on backing sheet for easy peeling during application.
- Size Range
- Custom sizes up to 58.5 in wide. Sizes beyond 58.5 in ship in multiple pieces for manual frame alignment.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Outdoor rated 3 to 5 years. Water and scratch resistant through rain, mud, and direct sun. Longer lifespan expected for decals used primarily indoors.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided. Reflective printed face outward. Permanent adhesive bonds to the frame surface on the back.
- Adhesive
- Permanent. Bonds firmly to painted metal, carbon fiber, and aluminum. Removable with a heat gun and slow peeling without damaging factory frame finishes.

Reflective Vinyl That Reads Under Headlights at Night
Reflective vinyl bounces light directly back toward its source. It sits at the core of every decal we print here. Shine a headlight or flashlight at the surface and the decal lights up without any battery or power source. That return-light effect keeps you visible to drivers from roughly 300 ft away in low-light conditions. Bold colors. Bright at night. A2Z Printing Hub UV-prints your full-color artwork directly onto the reflective surface so you don't sacrifice graphic quality for visibility.
Die-Cut to Fit Frames, Forks, and Rims
Die-cut finishing cuts around the exact outline of your design rather than a standard rectangle. That lets each decal follow the narrow geometry of a bicycle tube, fork leg, or rim face. No excess vinyl bunches at the curved edges. And because the cut traces your actual artwork shape, the decal sits flush on tubes as narrow as 1 in without lifting. Kiss-cut on the backing sheet (cut through the vinyl only, leaving the sheet intact) makes peeling and positioning straightforward before you press it down.
UV-Printed Full Color at 720 DPI Minimum
UV printing cures ink instantly under ultraviolet light, locking color into a scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. We run every order at 720 DPI minimum, which means crisp edges and smooth color gradients hold up through rain rides, muddy trails, and direct sun. The cured surface resists peeling under road vibration. Outdoors, that color holds 3 to 5 years without fading. Worth knowing: you don't need a separate reflective layer in your artwork file. The vinyl handles the reflective effect on its own.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Full bicycle frame wraps covering every tube from head tube to dropout fall outside what we do here. For full-surface coverage, a local vinyl wrap installer is the right call.
Temporary race numbers or single-day event stickers that need removal after one ride aren't a match for permanent adhesive vinyl. Magnetic Signs are the better option for short-term use.
Riders who want a see-through decal on a light-colored frame need a different material. Custom Bicycle Vinyl Decals on clear vinyl are the right fit for that look.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Reflective Bicycle Decals configuration.
-
Placement on the Bicycle Determines the Shape You Need
Down tube and top tube placements need a narrow, elongated die-cut shape. Measure your tube diameter before uploading artwork, then keep your design width under that measurement so no edge lifts off the curve. Fork leg and chainstay placements are even narrower, so simpler shapes and bold single-color elements hold up better than detailed illustrations at those widths.
-
Reflective Versus Standard Vinyl Depends on Your Riding Conditions
Here's the thing: reflective vinyl is not the right call for every rider. Go with reflective if you ride between dusk and dawn or in low-light conditions more than twice a week. Standard white PVC calendar film is the better fit for daytime-only riders who want bold color graphics without the reflective surface. Both use the same UV-printed, waterproof construction rated 3 to 5 years outdoors.
-
Size Relative to the Tube Diameter Affects Readability
-
Keeping Text Legible on Narrow Tubes
Keep text and logos at least 0.75 in tall on decals under 3 in wide. That's the floor for legibility from roughly 10 ft away, even with the reflective surface bouncing light back under headlights. Smaller text on narrow tubes loses readability fast under artificial lighting.
-
Matching Decal Length to the Tube
Most down tube and top tube decals run 3 in to 6 in long. Stay within that range and the decal follows the tube geometry cleanly without bunching at the ends.
-
Single Decal Versus a Full Set Changes Your Order Quantity
A single down tube decal is a solid starting point if you want to test the fit and finish before committing to more. Order a full set covering the down tube, fork legs, and chainstay for consistent night visibility across the whole bike. Cycling teams ordering for 5 to 20 bikes typically go straight to a full set so every rider shows matching graphics at night events.
Pair it with
Finish the Full Frame Build
Reflective decals cover your key visibility zones. Custom Bicycle Frame Decals handle the remaining tube surfaces, so the whole frame carries a cohesive look from head tube to dropout.
Daytime-Only Riders Who Want Bold Color
Not every rider needs the reflective surface. Custom Bicycle Vinyl Decals on standard white PVC give you the same sharp CMYK color without the reflective layer. Right call for riders who stay off the road after dark.
Same Night-Visibility Material on Your Motorcycle
Custom Reflective Motorcycle Decals use the same reflective vinyl and UV print process. If you own both a bicycle and a motorcycle, you can match the night-visibility graphics across both rides.
Match Your Head to Your Frame
Custom Helmet Decals apply the same durable 4 mil vinyl to your helmet surface. Your head and your frame carry matching graphics and reflective markings, so the whole rider setup reads consistently under headlights.
FAQs
Will Custom Reflective Bicycle Decals Stay Flat on a Curved Tube Without Lifting at the Edges?
The 4 mil white PVC calendar film conforms to slightly curved surfaces like bicycle tubes and fork legs without bunching or lifting when you prep the surface correctly. Wipe the frame with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry fully before applying. A light pass with a heat gun on low helps the vinyl conform to tighter curves. Applied correctly, the adhesive bonds permanently to painted metal, carbon fiber, and aluminum.
How Long Do Reflective Bicycle Decals Last Through Rain, Mud, and Regular Washing?
UV-printed reflective vinyl holds up 3 to 5 years outdoors under normal riding conditions, including rain rides, muddy trails, and regular soap-and-water cleaning. The UV curing process (ink cured instantly under ultraviolet light) gives the color surface scratch resistance and waterproofing that holds through road vibration. Wait 72 hours after applying before washing the bike or riding through standing water so the adhesive bonds fully.
Can I Apply These Decals Myself Without Bubbles on a Narrow Bicycle Tube?
Most riders apply these without issue in about 20 minutes. The kiss-cut backing sheet (the intact sheet that keeps the decal flat until you peel it) makes handling easy on narrow surfaces. Start from one end and press down gradually rather than laying the whole decal at once. Small bubbles can be punctured with a pin and smoothed flat.
Does the Reflective Surface Affect How the Printed Colors Look in Daylight?
In daylight, the CMYK full-color print reads clearly at 720 DPI minimum, and colors match your submitted artwork closely. The reflective layer sits beneath the ink, so it does not shift or mute your colors under normal lighting. The reflective effect activates under direct light sources like headlights and flashlights, not in ambient daylight.
What File Format Do I Need for a Die-Cut Reflective Decal That Matches My Logo Shape Exactly?
Submit your artwork as a PDF, AI, PNG, or JPG file on a transparent background. The transparent background tells us exactly where to cut around your design outline. Set your file to CMYK color mode at 300 DPI for decals under 4 ft, and include a 0.25 in bleed on all sides. Reflective vinyl prints full color in CMYK, so your file does not need any special reflective layer.
Get your artwork right
We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. AI (Adobe Illustrator vector format) is the best choice for logos because vector art scales to any size without losing a crisp edge. For raster files (PNG, JPG), submit at 300 DPI minimum for decals under 4 ft. 150 DPI is the floor, but anything under 300 DPI on a small decal risks a soft edge at close range.
- Color mode
- Set your color mode to CMYK before exporting. RGB is a screen color mode and shifts noticeably when converted to print. CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) is the 4-color process we print in, so what you see in your file matches what comes off the press. Include 0.25 in of bleed (extra artwork beyond the cut line) on all sides and keep text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge.
- Color mode
- For die-cut reflective decals, upload your artwork on a transparent background. That lets us cut around the exact design outline without guessing where the shape ends. The reflective surface prints full color in CMYK, so your file does not need any special reflective layer added.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wait 72 hours after applying your decal before washing the bike or riding through standing water. The adhesive needs that time to fully bond to the frame surface. Clean the decal area with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvent-based degreasers, or wax directly on the decal surface, as these can dull the reflective layer over time.
- Before applying, wipe the frame surface with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry fully. Curved tube surfaces benefit from a light pass with a heat gun on low to help the vinyl conform without lifting at the edges. For removal, apply low heat and peel slowly from one corner. Adhesive residue cleans off with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone without damaging factory paint finishes.
