  • 720 DPI UV Printing on a Permanent Adhesive Base
  • Kiss-Cut Backing Sheet for Clean, Bubble-Free Application

4 mil PVC Calendar Film Cut to Frame Geometry

PVC calendar film runs 4 mil thick on every decal we cut. It's a thin, flexible vinyl rated for outdoor use. That thickness gives you a sturdy, conforming material that wraps around top tubes, down tubes, fork legs, and rims without bunching at the edges or cracking on slight curves. A2Z Printing Hub die-cuts each decal to the exact outline of your design, so excess material never overlaps a weld seam or tube clamp. Sharp edges. Clean fit.

720 DPI UV Printing on a Permanent Adhesive Base

UV printing locks color into the surface rather than sitting on top of it. Ultraviolet light cures the ink instantly during printing, so you get scratch-resistant, waterproof color that holds up through roughly 3 to 5 years of rain, road grime, and direct sun. The permanent adhesive bonds to painted metal, carbon fiber, aluminum, and plastic frame surfaces. And because the adhesive is outdoor-rated from day one, your graphics stay bold through every ride without peeling at the corners.

Kiss-Cut Backing Sheet for Clean, Bubble-Free Application

Kiss-cutting means we cut through the vinyl layer only, leaving the backing sheet intact beneath each decal shape. You peel cleanly, position the decal on the frame tube before committing, and press down once you're satisfied with the placement. No tearing. No repositioning headaches. Worth knowing: this matters most on curved fork legs and chainstays where a single off-center placement is hard to correct without a second decal.

Ideal for

Custom frame builds where a rider wants logo, name, or color graphics matched to a road, gravel, or mountain bike tube set.
Small cycling teams adding matching sponsor logos or team names to every rider's frame for a consistent group look.
Bike shop owners branding demo or rental fleet frames with a shop logo and contact number that stays readable through daily use.
Cyclists restoring vintage frames who need replacement decals cut to the original geometry of a specific model year.
Youth cycling clubs adding rider names and numbers to frame tubes for race-day identification without permanent paint.
Gravel and endurance riders adding route names or personal graphics to a frame built around a specific event.
Custom bike builders finishing a one-off frame with a brand mark or builder signature cut to fit the head tube badge area.

Not the best fit for

Night-visibility safety markings belong on Reflective Bicycle Decals. That product uses engineer-grade reflective vinyl that bounces light back toward its source. Standard white PVC does not do this.

Daily-removal branding is not what permanent adhesive handles well. Magnetic Signs use no adhesive and pull off cleanly each time, which makes them the better call for bikes that switch between personal and business use.

How to choose

Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Bicycle Frame Decals configuration.

  1. Standard or Reflective Material for Your Frame

Standard 4 mil white PVC handles daytime graphics, team logos, color blocks, and name lettering on any frame surface. It holds up roughly 3 to 5 years outdoors through rain and road grime.

Riding in low-light conditions or want your fork or seat tube visible after dark? Standard white PVC isn't the right call for that. Go with Reflective Bicycle Decals instead. That product uses engineer-grade reflective vinyl rated to bounce light back toward its source, with the same outdoor durability as the PVC film here.

  2. Sizing Your Decal to Fit Specific Frame Tube Dimensions

Measure the flat or slightly curved section of each tube before you enter dimensions. Most top tube decals run roughly 4 in to 10 in long. Down tube decals on a full-size frame typically run 8 in to 14 in.

Fork leg decals usually sit between 3 in and 6 in. Enter your exact measurements in the configurator and we cut to that size. Don't round up or down: the die-cut follows your numbers precisely, so a measurement off by 0.5 in shows at the edge.

  3. Single Shape or a Full Frame Decal Set

A single head tube badge or down tube logo works well for a minimal build. Ordering each piece as a separate die-cut shape on one backing sheet costs less per piece than separate shipments. (You also get everything in one box.)

For a full kit covering the top tube, down tube, fork legs, and chainstays, group all shapes into one order. Note the placement for each piece in your artwork file so nothing gets mixed up at install.

  4. Matching Your File Format to the Die-Cut Process

Upload artwork on a transparent background in PDF or AI format for the cleanest die-cut edge. PNG files with a transparent background also work. JPG files carry a white background that becomes part of the cut shape, so use them only for rectangular decals where the background color matches the frame.

Sending a logo with fine detail at a small size (under 2 in)? Vector PDF or AI gives you the sharpest edge the cutter can follow.

Pair it with

Night-Visibility Upgrade for Your Frame

Standard white PVC carries your graphics well in daylight, but it doesn't bounce light back toward its source after dark. Reflective Bicycle Decals use engineer-grade reflective vinyl on the same fork leg and seat tube placements, so headlights hit the frame and drivers see you.

Finish Every Surface on the Bike

Frame tube decals cover the top tube, down tube, and fork. But rims and general frame panels need their own shapes. Order all three together and every surface ships in one flat package.

Match the Helmet to the Frame

Helmet Decals use the same 4 mil PVC on curved helmet surfaces. A matching set of frame and helmet graphics gives a team or individual rider a consistent look from head to bike without ordering from two different places.

Removable Alternative for Shared or Rental Bikes

Permanent adhesive is the right call for a personal frame. But if a bike switches between personal and business use and you need to swap branding daily, Magnetic Signs pull off cleanly each time with zero adhesive residue.

FAQs

Get your artwork right

Resolution sets the edge quality on a die-cut decal. We print at 720 DPI minimum, so your file needs to keep up. Submit at 300 DPI for any decal under 4 ft. That's where riders get close enough to spot a soft edge on a logo or a blurry letter.

We accept PDF AI PNG JPG
Accepted formats
PDF, AI, PNG, JPG. Vector files (PDF or AI) give the sharpest die-cut edges on logos and text. PNG with a transparent background works well for custom shapes. JPG files carry a white background that becomes part of the cut outline, so use them only when your decal is rectangular and the background matches your frame color.
Color mode
CMYK, not RGB. CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) is the four-color process we print in. RGB files shift on output. Set your file to CMYK before uploading. Add 0.25 in bleed on all sides and keep text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge so nothing trims too close.

At 150 DPI, larger graphics still print clean, but 150 DPI is the floor, not the target.

Our free online design tool lets you build your layout from scratch. Need help converting a sketch or logo into a print-ready file? Our design service handles that. Submit your artwork on a transparent background for die-cut decals and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions

Product care

  • Wait 72 hours after applying your decal before washing the bike. This gives the permanent adhesive time to fully bond to the frame surface.
  • Hand wash the decal area with mild soap and water. Avoid directing a high-pressure hose stream at the decal edges for the first 2 weeks. After that, normal washing is fine.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvent-based degreasers, or wax directly on the matte PVC surface. These can lift the edges or dull the finish over time. To remove the decal, apply low heat from a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then peel slowly from one corner. Any remaining adhesive residue cleans off with rubbing alcohol without harming factory paint.
