How to orderSpecifications
Custom Reflective Motorcycle Decals run on 4 mil engineer-grade reflective vinyl with permanent adhesive and full-color UV printing. Every decal is die-cut to your exact design shape, so each one fits curved motorcycle panels without blank film showing around the edges. Best for riders who want bold graphics that stay visible to other drivers at night.
- Material
- 4 mil engineer-grade reflective vinyl.Engineer grade uses a micro-prismatic or glass-bead surface that bounces light back toward its source under headlights and flashlights.
- Print Method
- UV printing, where ink cures instantly under ultraviolet light at the print head. The result is a scratch-resistant, waterproof surface without a separate lamination layer.
- Color Output
- Full-color CMYK.CMYK is the 4-color process using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to reproduce any logo, photo, or graphic.
- Finishing
- Die-cut to custom shape. Kiss-cut on backing sheet.Kiss-cut keeps the backing intact so the decal peels cleanly without tearing.
- Size Range
- Custom sizes up to 58.5 in wide.Orders wider than 58.5 in ship in multiple pieces with alignment guides for joining on the surface.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Outdoor rated 3 to 5 years.Resists direct sun, rain, road debris, and typical motorcycle wash conditions. Indoor use lasts longer.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided.The printed face carries the graphic and reflective effect. The adhesive back bonds to the surface.
- Adhesive
- Permanent.Bonds to painted metal, plastic fairings, and helmet shells. Removable with a heat gun and slow peeling on factory finishes.

4 mil Engineer-Grade Reflective Vinyl With Permanent Adhesive
Engineer-grade reflective vinyl (a material that bounces light back toward its source) runs 4 mil thick on every decal we cut. That thickness gives the vinyl enough body to grip curved tank and fender surfaces without lifting at the edges. Permanent adhesive bonds firmly to painted metal, plastic fairings, and helmet shells, holding through road debris, rain, and roughly 3 to 5 years of outdoor use. Thin, flimsy decals peel at corners within a season. These don't.
Full-Color UV Printing on a Reflective Surface
UV printing (ink cured instantly by ultraviolet light as it leaves the print head) lays full-color CMYK graphics directly onto the reflective face. Your logo reads in bold, crisp color during the day and catches headlights at night without needing two separate decals. A2Z Printing Hub runs every order through this process, so the surface resists scratches and water without a separate lamination layer. Sharp color in daylight. Visible from a distance after dark.
Die-Cut to Any Shape for Curved Motorcycle Panels
Die-cutting (cutting the vinyl to the exact outline of your design rather than leaving a rectangle of blank film around it) lets each decal follow the contour of a fuel tank, fairing, or helmet panel. Kiss-cutting (cutting through the vinyl layer only, leaving the backing sheet intact) keeps the decal clean and easy to peel. And because the cut follows your artwork exactly, nothing looks like an afterthought stuck on a flat sheet.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Riders who need graphics they can swap out weekly. Permanent adhesive bonds firmly and is not meant for daily removal. Magnetic Signs handle vehicles that switch between personal and business use.
Anyone wanting full nose-to-tail motorcycle wrap coverage. We cut decals for specific panels. A local wrap installer handles full-surface coverage.
Riders who want a see-through effect on a fairing window or windscreen. Window Decals on perforated vinyl handle one-way visibility on transparent surfaces.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Reflective Motorcycle Decals configuration.
-
Placement on the Motorcycle Determines Shape and Size
Tank and fender placements need contour-cut shapes that follow the panel curve. Measure the flat center of the panel, not the full curved span. A fuel tank center flat typically runs 6 to 10 in wide and 8 to 14 in tall depending on the model.
Upload artwork on a transparent background so we cut to your exact outline. Start in the configurator and enter your measured dimensions there.
Helmet placements are smaller. Back and side panels on a full-face helmet usually fit decals in the 2 to 4 in range. Fairing panels are wider and flatter than tanks, so you have more room to run a bold horizontal graphic.
-
Reflective Versus Standard Vinyl Depends on Your Riding Conditions
Here's the thing: if you log miles after dark or commute on roads without street lighting, reflective is the right call. Engineer-grade reflective vinyl bounces headlight beams back toward the source, so drivers behind you spot the bike faster at night.
Standard vinyl motorcycle decals work fine for daytime-only display. But night visibility is not something to compromise on two wheels. Order the reflective option here and save Custom Motorcycle Vinyl Decals for purely decorative graphics.
-
Single Decal Versus a Matched Set Across Multiple Panels
A matched set across tank, both fenders, and helmet reads as intentional rather than a single sticker added as an afterthought. Order all panels in one session so colors and cut shapes come from the same print run. Bulk orders of 5 or more decals typically qualify for volume pricing. Add all panels to your cart before checkout to see the quantity discount applied automatically.
Pair it with
Match Your Helmet to Your Tank
Your tank and fender graphics look intentional when the helmet carries the same design. Helmet Decals use the same die-cut process on curved helmet shells, so the full kit reads as one consistent setup rather than mismatched pieces.
Standard Vinyl for Daytime-Only Graphics
Not every panel needs the reflective face. Custom Motorcycle Vinyl Decals use the same 4 mil permanent adhesive vinyl without the reflective layer, at a lower cost for purely decorative graphics you'll only show in daylight.
Cover the Full Bike
Reflective decals handle the safety panels. Custom Motorcycle Fuel Tank Decals and Custom Motorcycle Decals fill the remaining placement needs when you want consistent branding across every surface on the bike, not just the night-visible ones.
Different Vehicle or Removable Option
Custom Reflective Bicycle Decals serve the same night-visibility purpose for cyclists using the same engineer-grade material. And if you use your bike for both personal rides and business runs, Magnetic Signs swap on and off without any adhesive contact to your paint.
FAQs
Get your artwork right
- Accepted formats
- PDF, AI, PNG, JPG. Vector files (AI or PDF) are preferred for logos because they scale without softening edges at any size.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI recommended. Anything under 150 DPI on a decal smaller than 4 ft will show soft edges on the final cut.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. Bleed is the extra border beyond your design edge that gives the cutter a clean margin.
- Safe zone
- Keep text and logos at least 0.5 in from the design edge so nothing trims close.
- Color mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK is the 4-color printing process (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) that matches how our press reproduces color. RGB files typically shift warmer or cooler when converted, so set your file to CMYK before uploading.
- Background
- Transparent PNG or PDF for die-cut shapes. We cut to your exact outline, so a white background tells us to cut a rectangle.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wait 72 hours after applying your decal before washing the bike. The permanent adhesive needs that window to fully bond to the panel. Hand wash around the decal area for the first 2 weeks and avoid directing high-pressure spray at the edges.
- After 2 weeks, normal washing is fine. Clean the decal surface with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvent-based products, or wax directly on the decal face, as these break down the UV-printed surface over time.
- For removal, apply a heat gun on low and peel slowly from one corner. Adhesive residue on the panel lifts cleanly with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone without damaging factory paint.
