How to orderSpecifications
Custom Vinyl Floor Decals are walk-on graphics built from 3 mil floor vinyl topped with a 7 mil anti-slip laminate overlay. Full-color UV printing at 720 DPI minimum gives you crisp, scratch-resistant output on every order. These decals work best on sealed indoor surfaces: tile, polished concrete, hardwood, laminate, and VCT (vinyl composition tile).
- Material
- 3 mil floor vinyl with 7 mil floor lamination. The vinyl base bonds to sealed hard floors. The laminate adds a textured, non-slip surface rated for foot traffic.
- Print Method
- UV printing (ink cured instantly by ultraviolet light). The result is a waterproof, scratch-resistant surface that holds up under shoes and cleaning mops.
- Color Output
- Full-color CMYK at 720 DPI minimum.CMYK is the four-color printing process using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to reproduce any color in your design.
- Finishing
- Die-cut to custom shape or standard rectangle. Kiss-cut on backing sheet.Kiss-cut means the vinyl is cut to shape while the backing sheet stays intact for easy peeling.
- Size Range
- Custom sizes up to 58.5 in wide.Graphics wider than 58.5 in ship in aligned panels for on-site assembly.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Rated for indoor finished surfaces only. Roughly 6 to 12 months under normal foot traffic.High-traffic areas typically trend toward 6 months. Lower-traffic spaces usually reach 12 months.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided.The printed face is the visible top surface. The adhesive back bonds to the floor.
- Adhesive
- Permanent adhesive bonds firmly to smooth, sealed hard surfaces.Peel slowly from one corner for removal. Does not remove cleanly from unsealed or porous floors.

3 Mil Vinyl Base With 7 Mil Anti-Slip Laminate Overlay
The 3 mil vinyl base bonds flat to sealed indoor floors. The 7 mil anti-slip laminate (a thick, textured overlay applied directly over the printed surface) gives foot traffic a grippy surface that does not slide underfoot. Together, the two layers sit at 10 mil total thickness. That combination is what separates a safe walk-on graphic from a plain printed sheet stuck to the floor.
720 DPI Full-Color UV Print on Every Order
UV printing at 720 DPI minimum cures ink instantly with ultraviolet light. Colors stay bold and scratch-resistant under shoes and cleaning mops without scuffing off the surface. At A2Z Printing Hub, every floor decal order runs at this resolution as a baseline, not an upgrade. Crisp text, sharp logo edges, and bold hazard colors all come standard. No extra fee for full-color output.
Die-Cut to Any Shape Up to 58.5 In Wide
Die-cutting (cutting the vinyl to the exact outline of your design rather than a standard rectangle) lets you order circles, arrows, logos, or any custom shape up to 58.5 in wide. Your floor graphic fits the space exactly, not a box around it. Graphics wider than 58.5 in ship in aligned panels for on-site assembly. The kiss-cut (a cut through the vinyl layer only, leaving the backing sheet intact) keeps everything on one sheet until you're ready to apply. Peeling and placement stay clean.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Vertical wall surfaces don't work here. The anti-slip laminate texture looks and feels wrong on a wall. Wall Decals are the right product for any vertical surface branding.
Carpet and unfinished soft flooring won't hold the adhesive. The permanent bond needs a smooth, sealed hard surface to stay flat and safe. For carpeted areas, Retractable Banner Stands or A-Frame Signs are better options.
Floor decals rated for 6 to 12 months indoors are not a permanent marking solution. For multi-year floor markings, industrial floor paint is the correct route.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Vinyl Floor Decals configuration.
-
Match the Decal to Your Floor Surface Type
Sealed tile, polished concrete, sealed hardwood, laminate, and VCT (vinyl composition tile, the interlocking hard-surface flooring common in grocery and big-box stores) all bond correctly with this product. Unsealed concrete, raw wood, and carpet do not.
The permanent adhesive needs a smooth, sealed surface to grip flat and stay there. Check your floor before ordering: run your hand across it. Rough, gritty, or soft means it is not the right fit.
-
Pick the Right Shape and Size for Your Space
Round spot graphics from 12 to 36 in diameter work well for logo placements at entrances and checkout counters. Rectangular pathway graphics up to 4 ft wide guide foot traffic through aisles and corridors. Die-cut shapes match logos or directional arrows exactly, so your floor graphic fits the footprint rather than a box around it. Enter your dimensions in the configurator to see your options.
-
Understanding How Long the Decal Will Last Under Your Traffic Level
Here's the thing: not every space wears a floor graphic at the same rate. High-traffic areas like grocery aisles and hospital corridors typically see about 6 months of use before edges begin lifting. Lower-traffic spaces like office lobbies usually reach 12 months. Order based on your expected replacement cycle, not the maximum lifespan.
-
H4: High-Traffic Floors (Grocery, Hospital, Warehouse)
Plan for roughly 6 months per decal. Budget your order quantity around that cycle so you are not caught short mid-season.
-
H4: Low-to-Moderate-Traffic Floors (Office Lobby, Trade Show, Restaurant Entrance)
Most installations last closer to 12 months. A single order typically covers one full promotional or seasonal run.

Deciding Between This Product and a Surface-Specific Floor Decal
This general vinyl floor decal is the right starting point if you are not certain which product fits your surface. But if you know your floor is a sealed indoor surface, Custom Indoor Floor Decals use an adhesive formulated specifically for clean removal on sealed tile and polished concrete. Start here, then use the comparison guide to confirm your choice before checkout.
Pair it with
Complete Your Interior Branding Layer by Layer
Your floor graphic handles the ground level. Wall Decals cover the vertical surfaces directly above it, and Window Decals carry your brand onto the storefront glass, so every surface from the entrance inward reads as one system.
Guide Foot Traffic From the Curb to the Door
An A-Frame Sign placed at the sidewalk edge catches attention before customers reach your entrance. The floor decal takes over once they step inside and routes them exactly where you need them.
Upgrade for a Specific Surface Type
This general vinyl floor decal covers most sealed indoor surfaces. If you know your floor type, a purpose-built option bonds and removes more cleanly for that exact surface.
Add Overhead Presence Above the Floor Graphic
A floor decal anchors the ground level. Custom Banners hung above the same zone double the visual impact for grand openings and seasonal promotions without occupying floor space.
FAQs
Get your artwork right
Resolution sets the floor (literally) for print quality. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. AI vector files work best for logos because they scale to any size without softening.
- Resolution
- For any graphic under 4 ft in its shortest dimension, 300 DPI is the target. 150 DPI is the minimum we can print without visible softness at standing height.
- Color mode
- Set your color mode to CMYK before exporting. CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) is the four-color process we print in, so what you see on screen matches what comes off the press. RGB files shift color at output.
- Bleed
- Add 0.25 in of bleed on all sides and keep text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge. For die-cut orders, place your artwork on a transparent background so we cut to the exact design outline. Floor graphics are viewed from roughly 5 to 6 ft directly above, so orient directional arrows in the direction of foot traffic and keep text at least 2 in tall.
Use our free online design tool or book our professional design service if you need a hand. Submit your artwork on a transparent background for die-cut decals and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions
Product care
- Sweep or mop over the decal surface as part of your regular floor cleaning routine. The 7 mil anti-slip laminate handles standard wet mopping without lifting. Do not apply floor wax or polish directly on the decal surface. Wax reduces laminate grip and can make the textured surface slick underfoot.
- Avoid running aggressive floor scrubbing machines directly over decal edges. Mechanical pressure can lift the edge bond on sealed floors.
- Inspect edges weekly in high-traffic areas and press any lifting corners back down immediately. For removal, peel slowly from one corner. A heat gun on low helps release the adhesive on cold floors without tearing the vinyl.
