Permanent adhesive (a bond formulated to grip rough, porous ground surfaces rather than smooth indoor floors) holds flat on poured concrete sidewalks, asphalt, concrete pavers, and coated outdoor decking. Lighter adhesives lift within days on these surfaces. This adhesive grips the texture directly, reaching enough of the rough surface area to hold under foot traffic and weather. Standard indoor decal adhesive simply can't do that.
7 mil Anti-Slip Lamination Built for Rain, Grit, and Foot Traffic
The 7 mil anti-slip laminate is a thick, textured clear overlay applied over the printed surface after UV curing. Not the best fit for
Vertical or wall surfaces. The anti-slip laminate texture looks and feels wrong on a wall, and the adhesive is not rated for vertical application. Wall Decals are the right choice here.
Carpet, turf, or any uneven soft flooring. The adhesive cannot bond to a soft surface, and an unbonded floor decal becomes a trip hazard. Retractable Banner Stands or A-Frame Signs work better in those spaces.
Permanent floor markings intended to last years. Outdoor foot traffic and weather limit this product to 3 to 6 months. Industrial floor paint is the right solution for markings that need to last.

Poured concrete sidewalks and asphalt grip this adhesive best. Coated outdoor decking works if the coating is sealed and smooth to the touch. Uncoated raw wood, gravel, rubber, or any surface that absorbs water will not hold.
Run your hand across the surface: if it feels gritty but sealed, you're good. If it feels porous or soft, the decal lifts within days. Confirm the surface is hard and sealed before you place an order.

Size the Graphic for Viewing Distance and Foot Traffic Flow
Honestly, most buyers undersize their sidewalk graphics. For spot branding read from standing height (roughly 5 to 6 ft), go with a circle or square between 24 in and 48 in across. For pathway graphics directing foot traffic, a rectangle 2 ft wide by 4 ft long gives enough visual weight to read clearly while walking. Floor decals are viewed from directly above at roughly 5 to 6 ft. That close-range angle means soft edges show up fast, especially on graphics under 4 ft across.

Care instructions
Product care
- Sweep loose debris off the face regularly. Grit buildup at the edges works under the laminate (the thick textured overlay bonded to the printed face) over time, so don't let it pile up. Rain and normal foot traffic clean the surface on their own. Do not pressure wash directly on edges. The water force lifts the laminate from the vinyl base. A mop or gentle hose rinse across the face is fine.
- Inspect edges weekly in high-traffic areas and press back any corner that starts to lift right away. Once an edge lifts and stays up, the adhesive bond on that section is compromised and the decal will continue to peel. Do not try to re-adhere a lifted outdoor floor decal with additional adhesive. Replace it when edges lift consistently or the laminate shows visible scuffing across the face.
