3 Mil Vinyl Base With 7 Mil UL 410 Anti-Slip Lamination
The 7 mil anti-slip lamination meets UL 410, the recognized slip-resistance standard for floor graphics. It's a thick, textured clear overlay bonded over the printed vinyl. Hospitals, airports, and national retail chains specify UL 410 for every floor graphic in their facilities. That same standard ships on every order we print. Safe under foot traffic on ceramic tile, polished concrete, sealed hardwood, laminate, VCT, and epoxy-coated floors. Sturdy underfoot. Rated for the real world.
CMYK Full-Color UV Print at 720 DPI on Every Order
UV printing cures ink instantly by ultraviolet light, giving you a scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. Every floor decal we produce runs at 720 DPI minimum. Colors stay crisp and bold under overhead retail and warehouse lighting without fading from foot traffic or mopping. A2Z Printing Hub applies this print method across every order, whether you're printing 2 spot logos or 40 directional arrows. Clean removal and sharp color accuracy are both assigned to other blocks, but print quality lives here.
Die-Cut to Any Shape Up to 58.5 In Wide
Die-cutting lets you order circles, arrows, logos, or any custom shape. It cuts the vinyl to the exact outline of your design rather than a standard rectangle. Your floor graphic fits the space and reads clearly from standing height at roughly 5 to 6 ft above the floor. Graphics wider than 58.5 in ship in aligned panels for on-site assembly. But most spot graphics and directional arrows land well under that width.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Wall or vertical surfaces. The 7 mil anti-slip lamination adds texture and thickness that looks and feels wrong on a painted wall. Wall Decals use a thinner, smooth-finish vinyl built for vertical surfaces.
Carpet or uneven soft flooring. This adhesive needs a smooth, sealed hard surface to bond flat and stay safe underfoot. For carpeted areas, Retractable Banner Stands or A-Frame Signs give you freestanding graphics without adhesive.
Permanent floor markings intended to last several years. Floor decals are a promotional-duration product, typically rated 6 to 12 months on indoor sealed surfaces.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Indoor Floor Decals configuration.
-
Match the Decal to Your Floor Surface
This adhesive bonds to smooth, sealed hard surfaces: ceramic tile, polished concrete, sealed hardwood, laminate, VCT (vinyl composition tile), and epoxy-coated floors. Unsealed or porous concrete does not give the adhesive a clean bond. Press a damp paper towel to your floor for 60 seconds. If the concrete darkens and stays wet, it is not sealed. Confirm the sealed finish before ordering, and note your floor type in the order comments.
-
Pick the Right Size for Your Space and Viewing Distance
Round spot graphics for logos or social distancing markers typically run 12 to 36 in in diameter. Directional arrows and pathway graphics usually run 12 in wide by 24 in long, or larger for wide corridors. Text on any floor graphic should use letters at least 2 in tall so your message reads clearly from standing height at roughly 5 to 6 ft above the floor. Bigger is almost always better here because viewers are moving, not stopping to read.
-
Decide Between Short-Run and Full-Duration Placement
Worth knowing: the same product covers both uses. This adhesive removes cleanly from properly sealed surfaces after your event or promotion ends, leaving no residue. For a display you plan to keep through the full 6 to 12 month rated lifespan, order normally. For a short-run event lasting a few days, the decal peels off cleanly when it ends. No special product switch needed.
-
Choose Between This Product and Outdoor Floor Decals
-
This Product: Indoor Sealed Floors Only
These decals suit smooth, sealed indoor surfaces with moderate to heavy foot traffic. The adhesive is formulated to release cleanly from sealed tile, polished concrete, and laminate without damaging the floor finish.
-
Custom Outdoor Floor Decals: Sidewalk, Asphalt, and Pavers
But if your surface is sidewalk concrete, asphalt, or outdoor pavers, this indoor adhesive will not hold. Choose Custom Outdoor Floor Decals instead. Outdoor decals use a heavier permanent adhesive and thicker laminate rated for rain, grit, and a 3 to 6 month outdoor lifespan.
Pair it with
Complete the Interior Branding Layer
Your floor graphics cover the horizontal surface. Wall Decals carry your brand up the vertical surfaces directly above them. Window Decals bring consistent graphics to storefront glass so the space reads as one coordinated environment from floor to wall to window.
Browse the Full Floor Decal Family
Need one order that covers both indoor and outdoor surfaces? Custom Vinyl Floor Decals handle mixed environments. For sidewalk concrete, asphalt, or pavers where this indoor adhesive does not apply, Custom Outdoor Floor Decals use a heavier permanent adhesive rated for rain and grit.
Add Eye-Level Messaging Above the Floor
Retractable Banner Stands place messaging at standing eye level directly above your floor wayfinding arrows. That reinforces the same direction or promotion at two heights simultaneously. A-Frame Signs do the same job at entrances and decision points without wall mounting.
Anchor Permanent Wayfinding Alongside Temporary Graphics
Floor decals rotate with your promotions. Custom Signs give you a durable wall-mounted or post-mounted directional that stays year-round. Custom Banners hang overhead in warehouses, trade show halls, and retail atriums where floor-level graphics need a large-format companion above them.
FAQs
Will Someone Slip on the Floor Decal Surface?
No. The 7 mil anti-slip lamination meets UL 410, the recognized slip-resistance standard used by hospitals, airports, and national retail chains for floor graphics. It's a thick, textured clear overlay bonded over the printed vinyl. That textured surface gives your foot grip comparable to the surrounding floor. Wet conditions reduce traction on any surface, but the laminate maintains measurably better grip than unlaminated vinyl.
Will the Decal Damage My Tile or Hardwood Floor on Removal?
It will not, provided your floor has a proper sealed finish. Peel slowly from one corner at a low angle and the adhesive releases cleanly without residue on ceramic tile, sealed hardwood, polished concrete, laminate, VCT, and epoxy-coated surfaces. A heat gun on low helps on cold floors. Unsealed or porous floors may retain adhesive, so confirm your floor is sealed before applying.
Can I Use Custom Indoor Floor Decals on a Floor With Grout Lines?
Yes, on standard commercial grout lines. The 3 mil vinyl base is thin and flexible enough to conform over grout joints on ceramic tile without lifting at the edges. Deep or uneven grout lines wider than roughly 3 mm may prevent full adhesion. Press the decal firmly with a squeegee from the center outward on application.
How Do I Clean the Floor Around and Over the Decal Once It's Applied?
Sweep or mop over the decal normally as part of your regular floor cleaning routine. The 7 mil anti-slip lamination handles standard wet mopping without lifting or bubbling. Do not apply floor wax, polish, or floor finish products directly on the decal surface. Wax reduces the laminate grip and can cause edges to lift faster than the rated 6 to 12 month lifespan.
How Long Does Production Take, and Will My Decals Arrive Before My Event Date?
Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days after proof approval. Orders placed before 12 PM EST enter production the same day. Shipping time depends on your location and chosen carrier speed. Order at least 5 business days before your event to build in proof approval, production, and transit time without rushing.
Get your artwork right
Accepted file formats are PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) are the best choice for logos and die-cut outlines because they scale to any size without losing edge sharpness.
- Resolution
- Resolution runs a minimum of 150 DPI, but 300 DPI is the right call for any graphic under 4 ft wide. Floor decals are viewed from directly above at roughly 5 to 6 ft standing height, so a soft edge shows up immediately at that distance.
- Color mode
- Set your bleed to 0.25 in on all sides. Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge. Work in CMYK color mode, not RGB. RGB files convert at proof stage and colors can shift slightly in ways that catch buyers off guard.
- Artwork setup
- For die-cut shapes, place your artwork on a transparent background so we cut to the exact design outline. Orient directional arrows in the direction of foot traffic flow. Size all text at a minimum 2 in letter height so the message reads clearly from standing height.
A free online design tool is available at checkout. A professional design service handles custom layouts if you need it. Submit your artwork on a transparent background for die-cut decals and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions
Product care
- Sweep or mop over the decal as part of your regular floor cleaning routine. The 7 mil anti-slip lamination handles standard wet mopping without lifting or bubbling. Do not apply floor wax, floor polish, or floor finish products directly on the decal surface. Wax reduces laminate grip and causes edges to lift faster than the rated 6 to 12 month lifespan.
- Avoid running aggressive floor scrubbing machines directly over decal edges. The scrubber pad can catch an edge and begin peeling the laminate. Mop or soft-pad clean around the perimeter instead.
- Inspect edges weekly in high-traffic areas and press any lifting corner back down immediately. For removal, peel slowly from one corner at a low angle. A heat gun on low helps release the adhesive on cold floors without tearing the vinyl.
