How to orderSpecifications
Custom Opening Soon Banners print on PVC Flex vinyl, a smooth, glossy outdoor material built to hold its shape under wind and direct sun. We offer two weights: 11 oz for short-term or sheltered use and 16 oz for storefronts and exposed fence lines. These banners are built for the final weeks before you open, not for long-term permanent mounting.
- Material
- PVC Flex vinyl. Resists moisture and holds its shape outdoors through sustained wind and direct sun exposure.
- Print Method
- Eco-solvent or UV inkjet printing. Bonds weather-resistant inks to the vinyl surface so colors hold for roughly 6 to 12 months outdoors.
- Color Output
- CMYK full color (the 4-color process using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). Reproduces logos, photos, and brand colors across the full visible spectrum.
- Finishing
- Brass grommets every 2 ft, pole pockets, or hem and heat weld. Choose based on your mounting setup before you order.
- Size Range
- Custom sizes available. Banners wider or taller than 10 ft include a welded seam (a heat-fused join that holds panels together without visible gaps at normal viewing distance).
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Rated for both. Outdoor banners with UV-resistant inks typically last 6 to 12 months in direct sun. Indoor banners last longer because they avoid weather exposure.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided is standard. Double-sided uses a blockout liner (a white layer between front and back prints) to prevent one side from showing through the other.
- Weight
- 11 oz for indoor or light-duty short-term outdoor use. 16 oz for storefronts, fences, and any location with sustained wind.

Urgency-Ready Printing on 11 oz or 16 oz PVC Flex Vinyl
PVC Flex vinyl (a smooth, glossy outdoor material) runs 11 oz or 16 oz on every banner we print. The weight difference is real. Eleven oz works for sheltered entryways or short indoor runs under 4 weeks. Sixteen oz handles storefronts and fence lines where wind and direct sun hit the surface daily through your final weeks before opening. Heavier material. Taut, readable banner from day one to opening day.
Brass Grommets, Pole Pockets, or Hem and Heat Weld Finishing
Your finishing choice determines how fast you get the banner up. Brass grommets (metal rings punched into the edges every 2 ft) let you tie or clip to a fence, railing, or anchor point in minutes. Pole pockets give you a fabric sleeve along the top and bottom edges to slide a rod through for a tidy, flat hang. Hem and heat weld (edges folded and sealed with heat) fits banners dropping into a frame or track system. And none of these finishing options cost extra to choose.
Free Digital Proof Before Every Order Goes to Print
A2Z Printing Hub sends a free digital proof within 24 hours of your order. You see the exact layout, colors, and text before a single drop of ink hits the vinyl. Nothing prints until you approve it. That's the step that catches a wrong font, a misaligned logo, or a date error before it becomes a wasted banner. Proof first. Print second. Always.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Polished indoor trade show backdrops where drape and zero glare matter more than cost. Fabric Banners handle that job better.
Temporary window displays that need repositioning or clean removal without residue. Window Decals (cling type) are the right call there.
High-wind fence lines at construction sites or scaffolding where solid vinyl catches too much air. Specialty Mesh Banners let wind pass through without tearing.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Opening Soon Banners configuration.
-
Vinyl Weight Matches Your Location
Sheltered entryways and indoor windows do fine with 11 oz PVC Flex vinyl. Most storefront and fence-mounted opening-soon displays face wind, rain, and direct sun, though. For those spots, 16 oz is the right call. It holds taut without sagging when gusts hit the facade.
Honestly, most buyers ordering an opening-soon banner need 16 oz. The 11 oz is a short-run indoor option only.
-
Your Mounting Setup Determines the Finishing
Grommets (brass rings punched every 2 ft along the edges) work for fences, railings, and anchor points where you'll use zip ties or rope. Pole pockets suit any setup where a rod or conduit slides through the top and bottom edges. Hem and heat weld is the right pick when the banner drops into a frame or track system. Match the finishing to what's already at your location so you're not scrambling for hardware on install day.
-
Banner Size Depends on Viewing Distance
A 3 ft x 6 ft banner reads clearly from roughly 30 ft away and covers most single-door storefronts. Wider facades and fence spans typically need a 4 ft x 8 ft layout to carry the message across a parking lot. For any span that runs past 10 ft, plan for a welded seam (a heat-fused join between panels) and size up to fill the space fully.

Timing Your Order Against Your Opening Date
Here's the thing: the banner needs to be on-site before it can build any foot-traffic awareness. Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days. Add 1 to 2 days for shipping depending on where you are.
Place your order before 12 PM EST and it goes into production the same day, shaving a full day off your total lead time. Build in at least 3 business days between your order and the date you need the banner hanging.
Pair it with
Build Your Full Opening Sequence
Your opening campaign has three stages, and each one needs a different message. Order all three with matching branding now so the transition from anticipation to launch day looks intentional.
Pull Attention From Every Angle at Street Level
A banner mounted on your facade covers eye level from across the street. Add hardware at sidewalk level and flanking the entrance so your opening message reaches foot traffic from three directions.
Turn Soft-Open Day Into a Street Presence
A Canopy Tent with matching colors and your logo turns a soft-open afternoon into something people stop for. Pair it with your Opening Soon Banner for a cohesive outdoor setup.
Swap Material When the Banner Moves Indoors
Once your doors open, the storefront banner comes down. If you need a backdrop for a launch event or lobby display with zero glare, fabric is the right swap.
FAQs
Can I Get My Opening Soon Banner in Time for My Launch Date?
The short answer: yes, if you plan around the timeline. Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days. Orders approved before 12 PM EST go into production the same day. Add shipping time based on your location and build in at least 3 business days total between order and the date you need the banner on-site.
What Weight of Vinyl Should I Order for an Outdoor Storefront Banner?
Go with 16 oz PVC Flex vinyl for any outdoor storefront or fence-mounted display. It holds its shape under sustained wind and direct sun without buckling or pulling at the grommets. The 11 oz is lighter and costs less, but it's built for indoor or sheltered short-term use only.
Will the Colors on My Banner Match My Brand Colors Exactly?
We print in CMYK full color (the 4-color process using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). Most brand colors fall within the CMYK gamut and reproduce accurately. Before anything prints, you'll receive a free digital proof within 24 hours so you can check colors, layout, and text against your brand standards and request adjustments.
What Happens If My Banner Arrives Damaged or the Print Looks Wrong?
We reprint it at no charge. If the banner arrives damaged in transit or the printed output does not match the approved proof, contact us and we'll get a replacement into production. That is not a conditional offer. It applies to every order.
Do I Need Print-Ready Artwork, or Can You Help Me Design the Banner?
You do not need a finished file to place an order. A free online design tool is available at checkout for building a layout from scratch. If you already have a file, we accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI formats. Our team reviews every file before it goes to press and flags any resolution or bleed issues before printing.
Get your artwork right
Resolution determines how sharp your text and logo look at arm's length. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. AI (vector format) is the best choice for logos because it scales without losing edge quality.
- Resolution
- For raster files (PNG or JPG), 300 DPI is the target for banners under 4 ft, where viewers get close enough to spot a soft edge. 150 DPI is the floor for larger formats viewed from farther away.
- Bleed and safe zone
- Set your bleed to 0.25 in beyond the trim line on all four sides. Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line (the safe zone) so nothing gets clipped during finishing.
- Color mode
- Color mode must be CMYK, not RGB. RGB is built for screens and shifts when converted to print, so colors can come out warmer or murkier than you expect. CMYK matches our print process directly.
- Artwork setup
- Need a layout built from scratch? Our free online design tool is available at checkout, and our design service handles full builds if you'd rather hand it off.
Submit your banner artwork as a print-ready PDF and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the vinyl surface with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt or grime. Do not machine wash. Scrubbing with abrasive cleaners can dull the surface and weaken the ink over time.
- Roll the banner for storage rather than folding it. Folding creates crease lines that do not fully relax, even after time in the sun.
- Store it in a cool, dry spot away from direct sun when it's not mounted. If a crease does form, lay the banner flat in direct sunlight for roughly 30 minutes. The vinyl softens slightly and the crease usually disappears.
