How to orderSpecifications
Custom Trade Show Banners print on PVC Flex vinyl in two weights, sized for booth backdrops and conference display walls. Both weights use weather-resistant inks and finish with your choice of grommets, pole pockets, or hem and heat weld. Here's what you're ordering.
- Material
- PVC Flex vinyl.Smooth, glossy surface that holds ink evenly across large print areas and resists moisture indoors and out.
- Print Method
- Eco-solvent or UV inkjet. Both bond weather-resistant inks directly to vinyl. Colors stay saturated under booth lighting for roughly 6 to 12 months outdoors.
- Color Output
- CMYK full color.Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black reproduce most brand colors within the standard gamut. A free digital proof confirms color accuracy before production.
- Finishing
- Brass grommets every 2 ft. Pole pockets along top or bottom edge. Hem and heat weld for channel-track frames. Each option suits a different mounting setup, so pick the one that matches your banner stand or rigging system.
- Size Range
- 2 ft x 3 ft up to 20 ft x 100 ft custom.Banners with a width or height over 10 ft include a welded seam for structural support.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Indoor use without restriction. Outdoor rated 6 to 12 months with UV-resistant inks under direct sun and rain.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided is standard. Double-sided uses a blockout liner (a white layer between the two print faces) that stops ink from showing through.
- Weight
- 11 oz for indoor booth displays. 16 oz for outdoor backdrops and multi-day expos. The heavier the weight, the longer it holds up under wind and repeat handling.

Two Vinyl Weights Sized for Booth and Backdrop Use
PVC Flex vinyl runs 11 oz for lighter indoor booth displays or 16 oz for heavier backdrops and outdoor conference settings. It's a smooth, glossy material built for signage. You pick the weight that matches your show environment. The 11 oz keeps costs down for single-show indoor setups. The 16 oz runs thicker and tougher, so multi-day outdoor expos don't leave your backdrop sagging by day two. Both weights hold ink evenly across large print areas and resist moisture at indoor and outdoor events.
Brass Grommets and Pole Pockets Built for Fast Setup
Brass grommets punch in every 2 ft along the banner edges. Hang with hooks, zip ties, or rope on any pipe-and-drape system. Pole pockets (fabric sleeves along the top or bottom edge) slide onto any standard rod or banner stand frame. Your booth display goes up in minutes. No extra hardware, no fumbling with clamps mid-setup. Hem and heat weld seals the edges for a clean, reinforced finish when your frame uses a channel track. Easy setup. Solid hold.
Free Digital Proof Before Every Order Goes to Print
A2Z Printing Hub sends a free digital proof within 24 hours of your order. You see exactly how your booth banner looks before a single sheet of vinyl runs through the press. Color accuracy check included. And if something's off, our team adjusts before production starts, so you're not chasing a reprint the week of your show. Orders approved before 12 PM EST go into production the same day, keeping tight show deadlines on track.

Ideal for
Not the Best Fit For
A polished indoor backdrop where matte finish and natural drape matter more than cost. Fabric Banners handle that job better under controlled trade show lighting.
Temporary window displays that need repositioning between shows. Window Decals in cling format are the right call there.
High-wind outdoor fence lines where wind pass-through is needed. Specialty Banners (Mesh) are built for that.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Trade Show Banners configuration.
-
Match Vinyl Weight to Your Show Environment
11 oz vinyl handles every indoor trade show and conference setting without overspending. It prints just as sharp under controlled booth lighting as the heavier weight, and it costs less per square foot. Go with 16 oz when your show runs outdoors, spans multiple days in direct sun, or when the banner stays up across several events.
That said, a single indoor show does not need 16 oz. Start with 11 oz and move up only if the conditions call for it.

Choose the Right Finishing for Your Mounting Setup
-
Grommets or Pole Pockets
Grommets work on any pipe-and-drape system. Brass rings punch in every 2 ft along the edges, so you hang with zip ties, rope, or hooks in minutes. Pole pockets are the right call when your banner stand or display frame uses a horizontal rod along the top or bottom edge. The banner slides on and stays taut without extra hardware.
-
Hem and Heat Weld
Order hem and heat weld when your frame uses a channel track that grips the banner edge directly. It seals the edges clean and keeps the border from fraying across a multi-day show.
-
Size Your Banner for Booth Dimensions and Viewing Distance
A 4 ft x 8 ft banner fills a standard 10 ft booth back wall at roughly half height. For a full back wall, size up to 8 ft x 10 ft or wider. Use the rule of 1 inch of letter height per 10 ft of viewing distance. Aisle traffic typically reads from about 15 to 20 ft away, so your headline text needs to be at least 2 inches tall to stay legible from the floor.
-
Decide Between Single-Sided and Double-Sided Print
Single-sided covers most booth backdrops and wall-facing displays. Order double-sided with a blockout liner when the banner hangs in the center of a space and both faces are visible to attendees walking past. The blockout liner is a white layer between the two print faces that stops ink from showing through.
Pair it with
Hardware That Gets Your Banner Off the Ground
Your trade show banner needs a frame to stand on its own. Banner Stands give it a freestanding mount indoors without pipe-and-drape hardware. Add a Table Cover to brand the surface below the banner for a consistent booth look. A-Frame Signs direct foot traffic from the aisle straight to your space.
A Different Material for a Different Finish
Vinyl prints sharp and costs less per square foot. But glare under booth lighting is a real concern for some setups. Fabric Banners print on 230 GSM polyester with dye sublimation, where ink absorbs into the fiber so it won't crack or peel. You get a matte drape that reads cleanly under direct spotlights.
More Banner Formats for the Same Show
Custom Step and Repeat Banners create a repeating logo photo wall behind a stage or press area. Custom Company Banners carry logo and tagline messaging that matches your trade show display for a consistent brand look across the full booth.
Products That Complete the Outdoor Setup
Canopy Tents pair with vinyl banners at outdoor expos where the booth needs overhead cover. Custom Flags flank the entrance and pull attention from farther down the aisle when foot traffic runs heavy.
FAQs
Get your artwork right
Resolution sets the floor for print clarity. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. Minimum 150 DPI (dots per inch, the measure of print sharpness) at final print size. For banners under 4 ft where viewers get close, 300 DPI keeps edges crisp and logos readable.
- Color mode
- Vector files in AI or PDF format are the best choice for logos because they scale without losing detail. Add 0.25 in of bleed (extra artwork beyond the cut line on all four sides) so no white edges appear after trimming. Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line as a safe zone. Set your color mode to CMYK before exporting. RGB is a screen color format and does not convert accurately to print, so colors can shift in ways you won't catch until the banner is already printed.
Here's the thing: if you don't have a print-ready file, you don't need to start from scratch. Use our free online design tool at checkout, or let our design team build your artwork from an existing file. Submit your banner artwork as a print-ready PDF and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the print surface with a damp cloth and mild soap after each show. Do not machine wash vinyl banners. Machine washing warps the material and breaks down the ink bond faster than normal outdoor exposure would.
- Roll your banner around a tube for storage. Do not fold it. Folding creates crease lines that press into the print face and stay visible under booth lighting.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, since heat warps vinyl between uses. If a crease forms during shipping, lay the banner flat in direct sunlight for roughly 30 minutes. The vinyl relaxes and the crease typically disappears before your next show.
