How to orderSpecifications
Custom Billboard Banners are large-format PVC Flex vinyl banners built for building wraps, billboard-style mounting, and high-elevation outdoor display. They run in 11 oz or 16 oz weights and print full-color via eco-solvent or UV inkjet. These are the banners you order when size and wind resistance matter most.
- Material
- High Quality PVC Flex vinyl.A smooth, glossy outdoor material that resists moisture and holds its shape under tension at large sizes.
- Print Method
- Eco-solvent or UV inkjet. Both methods use weather-resistant inks that bond to the vinyl surface and hold color outdoors for 6 to 12 months.
- Color Output
- CMYK full color. The four-color process (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) that reproduces most brand colors accurately across the full face.
- Finishing
- Brass grommets every 2 ft. Pole pockets. Hem and heat weld.Grommets are brass rings punched into the edges for hanging with hooks, zip ties, or rope.
- Size Range
- Custom sizes up to 20 ft x 100 ft.Any banner with a width or height over 10 ft includes a heat-welded seam that bonds panels into one flat face.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.Outdoor-rated 6 to 12 months with UV-resistant inks in direct sun. Indoor use extends lifespan well beyond that range.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided standard. Double-sided available with a blockout liner. The blockout liner is a white layer between front and back prints that stops one side from showing through the other.
- Weight
- 11 oz or 16 oz.The 11 oz works for indoor or short-term outdoor use. The 16 oz is built for high-elevation or long-term outdoor mounting.

Large-Format Welded Construction Up to 20 ft x 100 ft
Sizes reach up to 20 ft x 100 ft, which covers most multi-story building facades in a single order. Any banner with a width or height over 10 ft gets a heat-welded seam (a heat-bonded joint that fuses panels flat under tension). That seam bonds the panels into one continuous face, so the image reads clean from across a parking lot or street. No patchwork. No visible breaks. A2Z Printing Hub runs welded seams as a standard feature on every large-format order, not an add-on.
16 oz PVC Flex Built for Wind and Height
PVC Flex vinyl runs 11 oz or 16 oz on these banners. The 16 oz is the thickest weight we carry. It resists sagging and tearing at high-elevation mounts where lighter materials give out after a few weeks of sustained wind. Think of it as the difference between a sturdy truck tarp and a grocery bag. Both are plastic. But one holds. Outdoors, 16 oz holds color and shape for 6 to 12 months in direct sun. Worth knowing: if your banner mounts above the first floor, 16 oz is the right call.
Full-Color CMYK Printing with Free Digital Proof
Eco-solvent and UV inkjet inks lay down CMYK full color (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) across the entire face. Both ink types are weather-resistant and bond directly to the vinyl surface. Every order includes a free digital proof so you see the exact layout before we print a single inch. Sharp colors, crisp edges, and no surprises at delivery.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Polished indoor trade show backdrops where matte drape and zero glare matter more than size. Fabric Banners handle that job better.
Temporary window displays that need repositioning or clean removal. Window Decals in cling format are the right call there.
High-wind fence or scaffolding locations where solid vinyl tears under sustained load. Specialty Mesh Banners let air pass through and hold up longer in those spots.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Billboard Banners configuration.
-
Vinyl Weight Matches Your Mounting Location
Go with 16 oz for any banner mounted above the first floor or facing sustained wind from an open lot, road, or construction site. The 11 oz works at ground level in a sheltered spot, such as an interior corridor or a covered loading bay entrance, where nothing pulls at the face. Confirm your mount height first, then select your weight. That single choice determines how long your banner holds without sagging or tearing at the edges.
-
Banner Dimensions Should Match the Face You're Filling
Measure the full width and height of your wall, fence, or frame before you set your dimensions. For building facades, a banner filling roughly 60 to 80 percent of the face reads clearly from the street without looking cramped against the edges. Any single dimension above 10 ft triggers a heat-welded seam, a bonded joint that holds two vinyl panels flat into one continuous face. That seam is standard on this product and does not affect the printed image at normal viewing distance.
-
Finishing Depends on How You Plan to Attach It
-
Grommets or Pole Pockets
Order brass grommets every 2 ft along the edges if you're hanging with zip ties, bungee cords, or rope. Choose pole pockets top and bottom when a very wide banner needs rod support to stay taut across the full span.
-
Hem and Heat Weld
Select hem and heat weld when the banner mounts into a frame that grips the edges directly, with no hooks or hardware punched through the face.
-
Single-Sided vs. Double-Sided Output
Single-sided is the right call for any wall-mounted or fence-mounted banner where only one face is visible. For banners that hang free with both faces pointing toward an audience, order double-sided with a blockout liner. That white layer between front and back prints stops each side from showing through the other. Good examples: a banner suspended over a road or dropped from a building overhang.
Pair it with
Finish the Ground-Level Display
A billboard-scale banner draws eyes from a distance. Bring buyers to the door with an A-Frame Sign on the sidewalk and Custom Flags flanking the entrance for movement and color at street level. Add a Canopy Tent for a branded shelter at the base of the building during launch events.
Switch Materials When the Job Changes
Solid vinyl isn't always the right call. Fabric Banners handle indoor trade show backdrops where matte drape and zero glare matter more than size. For fence or scaffolding spots where sustained wind rules out solid vinyl, Specialty Mesh Banners let air pass through and hold longer.
Stay in the Vinyl Line at a Different Scale
Not every location needs billboard dimensions. Custom Outdoor Banners in 13 oz cover standard storefront heights, and Custom Heavy Duty Banners in 16 oz handle permanent or high-wind spots without going to full building-wrap scale.
Build the Full Opening Sequence
Billboard banners work hardest as part of a launch campaign. Custom Grand Opening Banners handle event-day signage at the entrance, and Custom Coming Soon Banners run on the same facade in the weeks before the doors open.
FAQs
Will the Welded Seam Show Up in the Printed Image on a Large Custom Billboard Banner?
Honestly, no, not at normal viewing distance. The heat-welded seam bonds two vinyl panels into one flat face, and the printed image runs continuously across the join. At the distances most billboard-scale banners are viewed from (roughly 20 ft or more), the seam is not visible. It does not interrupt color, text, or logo placement.
How Do I Keep a Banner This Large From Sagging or Pulling Loose at the Corners?
Brass grommets every 2 ft along all four edges distribute tension evenly so no single point carries the full load. For banners spanning more than 15 ft in width, add pole pockets top and bottom so a rod holds the face taut across the full span. Bungee cords at each grommet point, rather than fixed zip ties, let the banner move slightly in wind without tearing the corners.
What Happens If My Custom Billboard Banner Arrives With a Print Defect or Shipping Damage?
Send us a photo of the issue and we reprint at no charge. That covers color defects, print artifacts, and physical damage that happened in transit. We do not ask you to ship the damaged banner back first. The reprint goes into production once we confirm the photo.
How Fast Can I Get a Large-Format Banner Printed and Shipped?
Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days after proof approval. Orders approved before 12 PM EST go into production the same day. Banners over 10 ft ship folded rather than rolled, so plan to hang yours in direct sunlight for about 30 minutes after delivery to relax any fold lines before mounting.
Do I Need to Send a Single Giant File for a Banner Over 10 Ft, or Can I Send It in Sections?
Send one file sized to the full banner dimensions. Our team handles the panel layout for the welded seam on our end. Submit your artwork as a single PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI file at a minimum of 150 DPI at final print size, and set color mode to CMYK before exporting.
Get your artwork right
File format matters before anything else. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. Vector formats (AI or print-ready PDF) are the strongest choice for logos because they scale to 20 ft without softening.
- Resolution
- minimum 150 DPI at final print size. For any banner under 4 ft in either dimension, 300 DPI keeps edges sharp where viewers get close enough to notice.
- Bleed
- add 0.25 in of artwork beyond the trim line on all four sides to prevent white edges after cutting.
- Safe zone
- keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line so nothing gets clipped.
- Color mode
- set your file to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) before exporting. RGB files shift in color when converted to print output, and the difference shows on bold brand colors.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the face with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrub pads. Those scratch the surface and dull the ink over time.
- And do not machine wash vinyl banners. Hand cleaning only, every time.
- Roll your banner around a tube for storage rather than folding it. Creases at large sizes are tough to remove and can distract from the image. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sun when the banner isn't in use. If fold lines develop during shipping, lay the banner flat in direct sunlight for about 30 minutes and the vinyl will relax on its own.
