Specifications

PVC Flex vinyl.A smooth, glossy surface that resists moisture and holds ink without cracking through fall weather.
Print Method
Eco-solvent or UV inkjet.Weather-resistant inks bond directly to the vinyl surface so colors stay bold through rain and direct sun.
Color Output
CMYK full color (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, the standard 4-color printing process).Reproduces spooky oranges, deep purples, and sharp whites accurately across the full design.
Finishing
Brass grommets every 2 ft. Pole pockets (fabric sleeves for a rod or pole). Hem and heat weld (folded edges sealed with heat). All three options are available at order.
Size Range
Custom sizing from small porch displays up to large building-facade banners.Banners with a width or height over 10 ft include a welded seam for structural strength.
Indoor/Outdoor Rating
Rated for both indoor and outdoor use.Outdoor banners with UV-resistant inks typically last 6 to 12 months, well past the Halloween season.
Single/Double-Sided
Single-sided is standard. Double-sided uses a blockout liner between the two printed faces to prevent show-through.

Spooky Full-Color Printing on Tough PVC Flex Vinyl

PVC Flex vinyl (a smooth, glossy outdoor material) takes ink without cracking, even through weeks of fall rain and wind. You get two weights: 11 oz for indoor party walls and light-duty setups, and 16 oz for yard stakes, porch railings, and storefront facades where weather hits hardest. Every Halloween banner runs through eco-solvent or UV inkjet printing. Weather-resistant inks bond directly to the vinyl surface, so your oranges stay bold and your blacks stay deep through the full season. Crisp details. Spooky graphics that hold.

Brass Grommets and Welded Edges Built for Fall Weather

Brass grommets (rust-resistant rings punched every 2 ft along the edges) keep your banner flat and secure from the first hang through the last trick-or-treater. Heat-welded hems back them up. The welded hem (folded edges sealed with heat) stops fraying at the corners where wind stress concentrates. Banners wider or taller than 10 ft include a welded seam for added structural strength. You can thread zip ties, bungee cords, or rope through the grommets in roughly 5 minutes.

Single-Sided or Double-Sided With Blockout Liner

Single-sided covers most yard and storefront setups. But when your banner hangs in open air and needs to read from both directions, double-sided is the answer. Double-sided banners include a blockout liner (a white layer between front and back prints) that stops images from bleeding through, so both sides read sharp from the street. Worth knowing: the liner adds thickness and helps the banner hang flat without curling at the edges.

Needed a Halloween banner to decorate our yard. This one was just the right amount of spooky and well-made as a Halloween banner.

Ideal for

Trunk-or-treat parking lot entrances where a bold, spooky banner marks the spot and sets the tone from 30 ft away.
Retail storefronts running Halloween sales, with orange-and-black graphics hung across the facade above the door.
Haunted house attractions where a large banner covers the building exterior and pulls attention from down the block.
School harvest festivals needing tough outdoor signage that holds flat through a full October afternoon in the wind.
Home front-porch and yard displays where a 2 ft x 4 ft or 3 ft x 6 ft vinyl banner anchors the seasonal setup.
Restaurant and bar Halloween promotions announcing themed menus or costume contests on a street-facing banner.
Community block parties where a hung banner marks the gathering spot clearly from the end of the street.

Not the best fit for

Year-round business advertising that stays up past the Halloween season belongs on Custom Vinyl Banners. Those are built for permanent or long-term outdoor messaging.

Personal milestone celebrations like birthday parties or graduation announcements belong on Event Banners, where sizing and templates are set up for those occasions.

How to choose

Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Halloween Banners configuration.

  1. Your Display Location Drives the Material Weight

Outdoor yard signs, porch railings, and storefront facades need 16 oz vinyl. It's thick enough to stay flat through October wind and rain without sagging at the corners. Indoor party walls, gym lobbies, and school cafeteria backdrops work fine on 11 oz. The lighter weight costs less and still gives you bold, crisp graphics up close. Pick your mounting spot before you touch the configurator.

  2. Your Banner Size Depends on Viewing Distance

A 2 ft x 4 ft banner reads clearly from a front door or small porch. Bump to 3 ft x 6 ft for a storefront window or porch railing where foot traffic passes from the sidewalk, roughly 10 to 15 ft away. Go 4 ft x 8 ft or larger for parking lot entrances and building facades where viewers approach from 35 ft or more. And if either dimension runs past 10 ft, we add a welded seam for structural strength at no extra step on your end.

  3. Your Finishing Choice Follows How You'll Hang It

  4. Grommets for Most Setups

Brass grommets (rust-resistant rings punched every 2 ft along the edges) work for nearly every Halloween setup. Zip ties, bungee cords, or rope thread through in seconds. This is the right call for fences, porch railings, and storefront awnings.

  5. Pole Pockets or Hem Weld for Specific Mounts

Pole pockets (fabric sleeves along the top or bottom edge) are the pick if you're sliding the banner onto a horizontal rod or PVC pipe. Pick hem and heat weld (folded edges sealed with heat) for frame-mounted or flat-surface displays where grommets would look out of place.

  6. Single-Sided or Double-Sided Based on Visibility

Single-sided covers most Halloween setups where the banner faces one direction. Order double-sided with a blockout liner when the banner hangs in open air and needs to read from both sides. Think across a driveway entrance or above a trunk-or-treat lane. The blockout liner (a white layer between front and back prints) keeps both faces sharp.

Pair it with

Finish the Haunted Block Setup

Your banner covers the facade or porch railing. An A-Frame Sign on the sidewalk pulls foot traffic toward the entrance before they even look up. Window Decals layer spooky graphics across the glass directly beneath the banner for a full storefront effect.

Shelter the Trunk-or-Treat Station

Canopy Tents cover individual trunk-or-treat stations and harvest festival booths from the elements. A Table Cover printed with Halloween graphics finishes the table setup underneath the tent.

Plan the Full Fall and Winter Display Calendar

Order your next seasonal banners now so you're not rushing in November. Custom Thanksgiving Banners bridge October into the harvest season. Custom Christmas Banners carry the storefront display straight through December.

Swap to a Year-Round Format After Halloween

Custom Flags planted at a driveway or parking lot entrance add a second layer of street-level visibility during the season. Once Halloween ends, Custom Vinyl Banners handle any ongoing business messaging that stays up past November 1.

FAQs

How Early Do I Need to Order to Get My Halloween Banner Before the Event?

Order at least 2 to 3 weeks before your event date. Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days, and orders approved before 12 PM EST enter production the same day. That said, production slots fill up in late October. Get your order in by early October and you won't be scrambling.

Will My Halloween Banner Hold Up if It Rains Before the Event?

Yes. PVC Flex vinyl resists moisture and the eco-solvent or UV inkjet inks bond directly to the surface so they don't run or bleed in rain. A 16 oz banner on brass grommets stays flat and secure through a full week of fall weather. Colors stay bold from opening night through the last trick-or-treater.

Can I Reuse My Halloween Banner Next Year Without It Looking Faded?

Most buyers get 2 or more seasons from a well-stored banner. Roll it loosely around a cardboard tube after the season, keep it in a cool dry spot away from sunlight, and the vinyl and inks hold up. One tip: skip printing the year in your design so the banner stays usable every October.

What Happens if My Banner Arrives Damaged or the Colors Look Wrong?

We reprint it at no charge. You approve a free digital proof before we print anything, so the final banner matches your design exactly. If the delivered banner doesn't match the approved proof or arrives damaged, contact us and we fix it. No runaround.

Do I Need Print-Ready Artwork, or Can I Build My Design on Your Site?

You don't need a finished file to start. Our free online design tool includes Halloween templates you can customize with your own text, colors, and images. Or upload a PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI file if your artwork is ready. Either way, we send a free digital proof within 24 hours so you see exactly what prints.

Get your artwork right

Resolution determines how sharp your Halloween graphics look at arm's length. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. AI (vector) is the best format for logos and text because it scales without losing edge definition.

Minimum resolution is 150 DPI. For banners under 4 ft where viewers stand close, 300 DPI is the target. Soft edges show up at that distance, and a low-resolution skull or lettering gives it away fast.

We accept PDF PNG JPG AI
Bleed
extend your artwork 0.25 in beyond the trim line on all four sides so no white edges appear after cutting.
Safe zone
keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line so nothing gets clipped during finishing.
Color mode
set your file to CMYK before uploading. RGB files convert to CMYK at the proof stage, and the shift can pull your spooky oranges and deep purples off-target. CMYK is the 4-color printing process (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) we actually print with.

Not ready to build a file from scratch? Use our free online design tool with Halloween templates, or hand the project to our design team for fully custom artwork.

Submit your banner artwork as a print-ready PDF and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions

Cleaning Your Vinyl Halloween Banner

  • Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap after outdoor use to remove dirt, leaves, or debris. Do not machine wash vinyl banners. The agitation stretches the material and loosens the ink bond.

Storing Between Halloween Seasons

  • Roll the banner loosely around a cardboard tube. Folding creates crease lines that do not fully relax, even after time. Store the rolled banner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight during the 11 months between seasons, because UV exposure fades the inks even in storage.
  • But if a crease forms from improper storage, lay the banner flat in direct sunlight for roughly 30 minutes. The vinyl relaxes and the crease typically softens enough to hang flat again.
