- Wait 72 hours after applying your hood decal before washing the Jeep. The permanent adhesive needs that full cure window to bond tight to the painted metal. For the first 2 weeks, hand wash around the decal and keep high-pressure spray off the edges. After 2 weeks, normal automatic car wash use is fine.
- Clean the decal face with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, wax, or polish directly on the matte vinyl surface, as these dull the finish over time. To remove the decal, run a heat gun on low and peel slowly from one corner. Any adhesive residue lifts cleanly with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone without pulling factory paint.
