Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Jeep Decals configuration.

1. Placement on the Jeep Determines Your Starting Size

   Measure the flat surface before you set a size. Jeep Wrangler hoods typically run 24 to 48 in wide across the flat center panel. Gladiator hoods run wider, so the same file that fills a Wrangler hood will look undersized on a Gladiator. Bumpers sit at roughly 10 to 15 ft of eye-level reading distance from trailing traffic, so keep text at least 2 in tall for legibility. Fender badges run small, usually 4 to 8 in wide, and work best as die-cut shapes rather than rectangles.

   Start with your measured surface width. Build the design to that number, not the other way around.

2. Business Branding Versus Personal Customization Changes Your Order Quantity

   Here's the thing: a single door decal is a personal build choice. A fleet order across 5 or more Jeeps is a branding system. For fleet work, order door decals in a matching size across every vehicle so the logo sits at the same height on each door. Bulk orders qualify for volume discounts, and the configurator applies those automatically when you enter your quantity.

   Personal builds are typically single orders. One hood graphic, one set of fender badges, one bumper decal. Order quantity one and the configurator still shows your exact price.

3. Permanent Decal Versus Removable Option Depends on How Often You Swap Designs

   Permanent adhesive on 4 mil PVC calendar film holds 3 to 5 years through off-road mud, car washes, and direct sun. That's the right call for any decal you plan to keep through multiple seasons.

   But if you use the same Jeep for personal and business driving, or you rotate graphics seasonally, permanent adhesive is not built for that swap cycle. Go with Magnetic Signs instead. They attach to the door or hood without any adhesive contact with the paint and come off in seconds.

Resolution matters most on smaller decals. At 150 DPI (dots per inch, the measure of print sharpness), large hood graphics look fine. But for fender badges or bumper decals under 4 ft, go to 300 DPI because viewers stand close enough to spot a soft edge.

Accepted formats

PDF, PNG, JPG, AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) scale to any size without losing crispness, which makes them the best choice for logo-based die-cut decals.

Color mode

CMYK, not RGB. CMYK is the 4-color process our printers use (cyan, magenta, yellow, black), so what you set up in CMYK is what comes out on the vinyl. RGB files shift on print.

Bleed

0.25 in on all sides. **Safe zone:** keep text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge so nothing important lands on the trim line.
