4 mil PVC Calendar Film With Permanent Adhesive
PVC calendar film is a thin, flexible vinyl sheet that conforms to flat and slightly curved surfaces. At 4 mil thick, it sits in the right range for panel graphics. Tough enough to resist tearing on rocky trails, and thin enough to conform tightly to a curved fender without lifting at the edges. The permanent adhesive bonds to painted metal, plastic, and composite panels, so graphics stay flat and tight through mud, rocks, and brush. Durability is the full story here.
UV-Cured Ink at 720 DPI Minimum
UV-cured ink (hardened instantly by ultraviolet light the moment it leaves the print head) runs at 720 DPI minimum on every order we produce. That resolution gives you crisp, bold color with clean edges on small lettering and complex logo shapes. And the cured surface resists scratching and fading across 3 to 5 years of outdoor riding. Color accuracy gets a brief note in the specs below.
Die-Cut to Any Shape, Kiss-Cut on Backing Sheet
Die-cutting trims the vinyl to the exact outline of your design, not a standard rectangle. A logo with an irregular silhouette comes out sharp on every edge. Kiss-cutting (cutting through the vinyl layer only, leaving the backing sheet intact) means each piece peels cleanly without tearing. Both cuts happen on the same order. Clean peel. Zero guessing.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Full bike wraps covering every panel and frame tube in one continuous graphic. For that level of coverage, a local wrap installer with contour-wrap film is the better call.
Daily removal between practice and race days does not work with permanent adhesive. Magnetic Signs are the removable alternative when you need to swap branding on and off a vehicle.
Window or glass surfaces on a tow vehicle or trailer need a different bond. Window Decals with permanent or cling adhesive are built for glass and give you the right adhesion for that surface.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Dirt Bike Decals configuration.
-
Panel Placement Determines Your Size and Shape
Number plates on full-size bikes typically run 9 in to 12 in wide. Front and rear fender panels vary by make and model, so measure the flat area of the panel before entering a custom size. Swingarm graphics wrap a narrower, longer surface. Get those three measurements before you open the configurator, and you will not need to guess at sizing mid-order.
-
Single Decal or a Full Panel Kit
Here's the thing: ordering one panel at a time and reordering later creates a color-matching problem. UV-cured inks shift slightly between print runs. A full kit covering number plates, front fender, and swingarm usually runs 4 to 6 individual pieces. Order all pieces together in one session so every graphic prints on the same run and colors stay consistent across every panel.
-
Custom Artwork Versus a Template Design
Custom artwork on a transparent background lets us die-cut to your exact design edge. Upload a PDF or AI file at 300 DPI for the sharpest cut line on small lettering and tight logo shapes. But if you do not have a file ready, the free online design tool at checkout lets you build your graphic before uploading. Anything under 2 ft in either dimension needs 300 DPI minimum or the cut edge will look soft at close range.
-
Complex Logo Shapes
Die-cutting trims the vinyl to the exact outline of your artwork, not a rectangle. Submit your file on a transparent background and we follow the design edge precisely.
-
Replacement Graphics Versus a New Custom Design
Replacing worn factory decals means matching the original panel shape exactly. Photograph the panel flat, measure the longest and widest points, and enter those as your custom size. We cut to your submitted shape, so your measurements drive the fit. Do not estimate from memory on a replacement order.
Pair it with
Swap Branding Between Race Weekends
Your dirt bike decals bond permanently to panels, but your tow truck or trailer needs something removable. Magnetic Signs attach and pull off in seconds. Swap sponsor branding on and off between events without any adhesive.
Match Your Helmet to Your Bike
Helmet Decals use the same 4 mil PVC and die-cut process as your bike graphics. Your helmet graphic matches your number plate and fender panels in color and finish. Consistent kit, head to wheel.
Brand the Rig That Hauls the Bike
Your race identity doesn't stop at the bike. Custom Trailer Decals and Custom Vehicle Decals extend your team colors from the panels to the rig. The whole setup reads as one unit at the track.
Put Sponsor Logos on the Tow Vehicle Windows
Window Decals on the rear glass of your truck put rider numbers and sponsor logos in front of every driver behind you on the highway. And Custom Motorcycle Decals cover street bikes with the same durable UV-printed vinyl if you run both.
FAQs
Will My Decals Hold Up to Mud and Water on Every Ride?
Yes. The 4 mil PVC calendar film carries a water-resistant, scratch-resistant rating across 3 to 5 years of outdoor use. UV-cured ink bonds into the vinyl surface rather than sitting on top, so mud, standing water, and brush contact do not lift color or soften edges. Most riders see no visible fading or peeling through a full riding season.
Can the Adhesive Handle Heat and Vibration During a Race?
Permanent adhesive on 4 mil PVC holds firmly to painted metal, plastic, and composite panels under sustained vibration. Engine heat on a dirt bike runs lower than on a road motorcycle, and the adhesive is rated for outdoor conditions well above typical operating temps. Apply to a clean, dry panel and the bond stays flat through the whole race day.
How Do I Apply a Die-Cut Decal to a Curved Fender Without Bubbles?
Use a heat gun on low to soften the vinyl slightly before conforming it to the fender curve. Work from the center of the decal outward toward the edges, pressing firmly as you go. The kiss-cut backing sheet (which keeps the vinyl intact until you peel it) makes placement easier because you can reposition before committing. Small bubbles that form near the edges can be punctured with a pin and smoothed flat.
What Happens If My Decal Arrives Damaged or Colors Do Not Match My Proof?
We reprint your order at no charge. The free digital proof you approve before production shows the exact cut shape, size, and color output. If the printed result does not match that approved proof, contact us and we fix it. That covers both color accuracy and physical damage in transit.
What Size Should I Order for Custom Dirt Bike Decals on a Full-Size Number Plate?
Full-size number plates typically fit a decal in the 9 in to 12 in wide range, but plate dimensions vary by manufacturer. Measure your plate's flat printable area at the widest and tallest points, then enter those as your custom size in the configurator. Custom Dirt Bike Decals are die-cut to whatever shape you submit, so an exact measurement gives you an exact fit.
Get your artwork right
- Accepted formats
- PDF, AI, PNG, JPG. Vector files (PDF or AI) are the best choice for logos and lettering because they scale to any size without softening.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum. For any design under 2 ft in either dimension, 300 DPI gives you a crisp, sharp edge on small lettering and fine lines.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. Bleed (the extra artwork area beyond the cut line) keeps color consistent to the edge after die-cutting.
- Safe zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge so nothing gets trimmed.
- Color mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK is the 4-color printing process we use, so your colors come out on the decal the way they look on screen. RGB files often shift toward cooler tones after conversion.
- Die-cut decals
- Submit artwork on a transparent background so we cut to the exact design edge. A white or colored background tells our system to cut a rectangle instead.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wait 72 hours after applying your decal before riding through water or mud. The permanent adhesive needs that window to fully bond to the panel surface. Clean the decal area with mild soap and water only. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvent-based degreasers, or wax directly on the vinyl, as these break down the UV-cured ink layer over time.
- For curved fender panels, use a heat gun on low to soften the 4 mil PVC slightly and press it into the curve. Work from the center outward and press firmly along the edges. To remove a worn decal, apply low heat and peel slowly from one corner. Adhesive residue cleans off with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone without damaging factory paint on most surfaces.
