How to orderSpecifications
Custom Political Yard Signs run on 4mm corrugated plastic, a rigid, fluted sheet that resists rain and holds its shape in moderate wind. Every sign prints with direct UV ink for a scratch-resistant, waterproof finish. These signs cover ground-level campaign deployment from residential lawns to arterial road corridors.
- Material
- 4mm corrugated plastic (fluted plastic sheet, sometimes called Coroplast).Rigid enough to hold its shape in wind, light enough for a volunteer to carry 20 to 30 signs at once.
- Print Method
- Direct UV print, ink cured instantly by ultraviolet light on the sign surface.Gives a scratch-resistant, waterproof finish that does not peel or bubble after rain.
- Color Output
- CMYK full-color (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined to reproduce any campaign palette).Party colors, candidate photos, and bold text all print accurately in one pass.
- Finishing
- H-stakes included on request. Grommets available for fence or post hanging.Signs over 48 in wide use horizontal flutes instead of vertical.
- Size Range
- Standard 18x24 in and 24x36 in. Custom sizes available up to 4 ft x 8 ft.Signs wider than 48 in run horizontal flutes to maintain rigidity across the wider span.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- 3 to 6 months continuous outdoor exposure before UV fading or edge wear appears.Deploy-and-retrieve cycling across 4 to 6 week periods extends usable life across multiple election cycles.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided or double-sided printing available on all orders.Double-sided is the right call for intersection placement where traffic approaches from both directions.
- Weight
- A stack of 25 standard 18x24 in signs is easy for one volunteer to carry without equipment.Lightweight corrugated plastic keeps bulk distribution fast across a full district in a single day.

4mm Corrugated Plastic With Direct UV Print
Corrugated plastic (a lightweight, fluted plastic sheet, sometimes called Coroplast) runs 4mm thick on every sign we produce. That thickness gives it enough rigidity to hold its shape in moderate wind without adding carry weight. Direct UV ink cures instantly under ultraviolet light, bonding to the surface so colors stay bold and readable through a full 3 to 6 month campaign season. No peeling. No bubbling after rain. A2Z Printing Hub applies this process directly to the sign face, skipping adhesive film layers that can lift at the edges mid-campaign.
Bulk Campaign Ordering From 50 to 500 Plus Signs
Bulk orders from 50 to 500 plus signs ship flat with H-stakes bundled. Your team deploys across an entire district without sourcing from multiple vendors. Volume pricing applies automatically at 50 plus signs. No separate quote request, no negotiation. That matters most in August through November, when production queues across the industry fill fast and late orders miss election day.
H-Stakes and Grommets for Ground or Fence Deployment
Wire H-stakes slide into the corrugated flutes (the hollow channels running through the plastic) and push into soft lawns in seconds without drilling. Grommets (metal-rimmed holes punched into the sign face) let you hang signs on chain-link fences or wooden posts where staking is not possible. Order both options if your campaign covers mixed terrain. Sturdy wire construction keeps signs upright through rain and overnight dew without the stake pulling loose by morning.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Permanent outdoor signage that stays up for years. Corrugated plastic holds up 3 to 6 months outdoors before fading and edge wear become visible. Metal Signs on .040 aluminum last 5 or more years without degrading.
Wall-mounted or building-mounted campaign displays. Yard signs need ground or fence placement. Metal Signs, Business Signs, or Acrylic Signs handle wall mounting.
Large-format building-facade campaign visibility. A 4mm corrugated plastic sign is not rated for facade mounting at scale. Political Banners on PVC Flex vinyl cover building-level campaign displays where a yard sign is too small to read.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Political Yard Signs configuration.
-
Size Comes Down to Where Drivers Will Read It
Residential lawn placement works well at 18x24 in. Volunteers carry stacks of 20 to 30 of these without equipment, and standard H-stakes handle the weight without tipping.
Arterial roads and high-speed corridors are a different situation. A driver moving at 35 mph has roughly 2 to 3 seconds to read a sign from 30 ft away. At that distance, 18x24 in text is too small. Go with 24x36 in for any placement along a road where the speed limit is 30 mph or higher. Most campaign orders split into two line items: 24x36 in for arterial roads and 18x24 in for neighborhood lawns.
-
Single-Sided vs. Double-Sided Printing
Single-sided works when a sign sits against a fence, hedge, or wall where only one face is ever visible. Double-sided is the right call for open lawn placement and road intersections where traffic approaches from both directions. Honestly, most bulk campaign orders default to double-sided across the entire run. Sorting signs by placement type on deployment day costs more in volunteer time than the price difference between print options.
-
H-Stakes vs. Grommets Based on Terrain
-
Soft Lawns and Garden Beds
H-stakes push into soft ground in seconds and cover roughly 90 percent of residential placements. The wire slides right into the corrugated flutes. No tools, no drilling.
-
Fences, Posts, and Hard Surfaces
Grommets work for chain-link fences, wooden posts, and any surface where a stake cannot go into the ground. Order both options if your campaign covers a district with mixed terrain, so volunteers don't reach a fence line without the right hardware.
-
Yard Signs vs. Political Banners
Corrugated plastic yard signs handle ground-level lawn and fence placement across residential neighborhoods. Political Banners on PVC Flex vinyl cover building facades, stage backdrops, and large-format roadside displays where a yard sign reads too small. If your campaign needs both ground-level and building-level visibility, order yard signs and Political Banners as separate products.
Pair it with
Scale Up to Building-Level Campaign Visibility
Yard signs cover lawns and fences. But a campaign also needs visibility at stage backdrops, building facades, and large-format roadside displays where a 24x36 in sign reads too small. Political Banners on PVC Flex vinyl fill that gap. Custom Banners give you the same full-color CMYK output at sizes up to 4 ft x 20 ft.
Hold a Rigid Sign at Sidewalk Level
A-Frame Signs hold a rigid display at sidewalk height outside a campaign office or polling location. Ground staking is not always allowed at those spots. They work alongside yard signs when your campaign needs both street-level and lawn-level coverage at the same address.
Carry the Campaign Across Moving Surfaces
Custom Flags mark rally entrances and event spaces with movement that catches eyes from across a parking lot. Custom Decals put the candidate logo on vehicle windows and supporter gear for visibility that travels with your volunteers.
When the Campaign Needs Permanent Outdoor Signage
Corrugated plastic holds up 3 to 6 months outdoors. But a campaign headquarters or party office needs signage that lasts 5 or more years. Metal Signs on .040 aluminum handle wall, fence, and post mounting without rust or fading across multiple election cycles.
FAQs
Get your artwork right
Yard signs are read from moving vehicles at 15 to 35 mph. Your file specs and layout choices directly affect whether a driver reads your candidate's name or blurs past it.
- Accepted Formats
- PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI. Vector AI files are preferred for logos because they scale without softening edges.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum. 300 DPI recommended at final print size. Anything below 150 DPI produces a soft, muddy edge on text at 24x36 in.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. Keeps color flush to the edge after trimming.
- Safe Zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from each edge. Content outside the safe zone risks getting clipped.
- Color Mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK matches how we print, so your party colors and candidate photos come out on the sign exactly as they appear in your approved file. RGB files shift in conversion.
- Readability rule
- Keep primary text to 7 words or fewer and use a minimum 3 in letter height for readability from 30 ft.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe signs with a damp cloth after rain to clear mud or road dust. No soap needed for light cleaning. Skip abrasive pads: they scratch the UV-cured surface and dull your candidate's colors faster than weather will.
- Store signs flat and dry between deployment cycles. Do not lean stacks against a wall at an angle: uneven pressure warps the fluted plastic over time.
- Pull H-stakes from the ground between uses and store them dry. Wire stakes rust when left in wet soil for weeks at a stretch, and replacement stakes are available when you need them. Indoor storage between election cycles extends usable life significantly across multiple campaigns.
