How to orderSpecifications
Custom Business Yard Signs run on 4mm corrugated plastic, a rigid, waterproof fluted sheet that holds its shape staked into soil without buckling. Every sign uses direct UV printing for a crisp, weather-resistant finish suited to short-term outdoor business use across 3 to 6 months.
- Material
- 4mm corrugated plastic (rigid, waterproof, lightweight fluted sheet).Holds its shape staked into soil for 3 to 6 months without warping or sagging.
- Print Method
- Direct UV print (ink bonded to the plastic surface and cured instantly by ultraviolet light).Produces a scratch-resistant, waterproof finish that does not peel or bubble.
- Color Output
- Full-color CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined to reproduce any brand color). No spot-color limits on your design layout.
- Finishing
- H-stakes or grommets available. H-stakes slide into the corrugated flutes. Grommets are metal-rimmed holes for hanging.
- Size Range
- Custom sizes available. Signs over 48 in wide use horizontal flutes (the hollow channels running through the plastic) to stay rigid.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- 3 to 6 months continuous outdoor exposure. Deploy-and-retrieve use extends the same sign across roughly 1 to 2 years of seasonal cycles.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided for signs facing one direction. Double-sided for signs visible from both traffic directions on a road or walkway.
- Flute Direction
- Vertical flutes on signs up to 48 in wide. Horizontal flutes on signs over 48 in wide to prevent buckling across the wider span.

4mm Corrugated Plastic With Direct UV Printing
Corrugated plastic (a rigid, waterproof fluted sheet similar to cardboard but impervious to moisture) runs 4mm thick on every sign we produce. UV printing bonds ink directly to the plastic surface using ultraviolet light, curing it instantly into a scratch-resistant, waterproof layer that won't peel or bubble. That combination gives you a sturdy face that holds its shape staked into a lawn or roadside verge for 3 to 6 months without warping. Colors stay bold through rain, direct sun, and moderate wind across the full outdoor cycle.
Sharp output. Tough material. Built to stay readable at ground level where it counts.
Single or Double Sided With H-Stakes or Grommets
A2Z Printing Hub prints both sides when your placement faces two traffic directions. Single-sided works when the sign backs against a fence or wall. You pick H-stakes (wire frames shaped like the letter H that slide into the corrugated flutes to hold the sign upright in soil) or grommets (metal-rimmed holes for rope or zip-tie hanging) at checkout. Both options ship with your order. And if your locations vary across a campaign, ordering both at once covers every surface type without a separate reorder.
Bulk Ordering for Multiple Job Sites or Locations
Bulk orders ship flat and stack efficiently. A contractor running 10 active sites can keep a branded sign at every location without reordering each week. Signs nest together in flat boxes, making site-by-site distribution straightforward. Crisp, identical branding across every location. No reprinting, no mismatched layouts between sites.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Permanent outdoor signage that needs to stay up for years without replacement. Corrugated plastic degrades in 3 to 6 months of continuous outdoor exposure. Metal Signs on .040 aluminum last 5 or more years in the same conditions.
Wall-mounted or building-mounted business signage. Yard signs need ground or a hanging point. Metal Signs, Acrylic Signs, or Business Signs cover wall and building mounting.
High-wind rooftop or elevated mounting where lightweight corrugated plastic can flex and fail. Custom Banners with grommets tied to a fence or building handle sustained wind better.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Business Yard Signs configuration.
-
Single-Sided vs. Double-Sided Printing
Your sign's position tells you which option to pick. Place the sign against a fence, wall, or facing one lane of traffic, and single-sided covers it. Put that same sign at a curb where cars pass from both directions, and single-sided wastes half your visibility. Double-sided costs more upfront, but it pays off on any roadside or median placement where two traffic streams see the sign.
Pick your exact location before you hit checkout.
-
H-Stakes vs. Grommets for Mounting
Here's the thing: these two options solve different problems. H-stakes (wire frames that slide into the corrugated flutes to hold the sign upright) work in any soft ground, including lawns, garden beds, and loose roadside soil. Grommets (metal-rimmed holes punched into the sign face) work when you need to zip-tie or rope the sign to a fence post, railing, or chain-link.
Order both if your locations vary. A contractor running 8 to 10 active sites may need H-stakes at open lots and grommets at fenced properties.

Size Matched to Your Viewing Distance
-
Pedestrian-Level Placement
An 18x24 in sign reads clearly from roughly 20 to 25 ft. That covers foot traffic outside a storefront, a now hiring sign at the entrance, or a grand opening notice on a lawn.
-
Roadside Placement
A 24x36 in sign reads from roughly 30 to 40 ft. That's the distance a driver needs at 25 to 35 mph to register your message before passing. Go with 24x36 in for any roadside location and 18x24 in for pedestrian-level spots.

Yard Signs vs. Metal Signs for Business Use
Corrugated plastic yard signs cost less upfront and handle campaigns running 3 to 6 months without trouble. Metal Signs on .040 aluminum cost more but last 5 or more years without replacement. That makes metal the lower cost-per-year option for any sign that stays up year-round at a fixed business address. If you pull the sign down after a hiring campaign or grand opening, yard signs are the right call.
If it stays up permanently, go with Metal Signs.
Pair it with
Cover the Curb and the Entrance Together
Your yard sign stakes into the lawn and holds the street-level message. An A-Frame Sign sits at the sidewalk entrance, catching foot traffic that walks past the curb without looking down. Add Custom Flags on a pole above the sign to pull eyes from farther down the block.
When You Need a Sign That Stays Up for Years
Corrugated plastic works well for campaigns lasting 3 to 6 months. Permanent business locations that can't afford seasonal replacements are a different story. Metal Signs on .040 aluminum (a rust-proof, rigid metal sheet) last 5 or more years in the same outdoor conditions.
Matching Signs for the Same Order
A business ordering job-site signs can add listing or directional signs to the same order without a separate checkout. Real Estate Yard Signs and Open House Yard Signs use the same 4mm corrugated plastic and H-stakes, so everything ships together.
Complete the Ground-to-Facade Branding Setup
A yard sign covers ground level. Custom Banners cover the building facade or fence line above eye level. Custom Decals brand the storefront window or vehicle door. Together, these three products carry your message from the curb to the door.
FAQs
Get your artwork right
Accepted file formats are PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI. Vector files (AI or PDF built from vector art) are the best choice for logos because they stay sharp at any print size without pixelating.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI recommended at final print size. Anything under 150 DPI risks a soft edge on text, which matters most on signs read from a moving vehicle.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. This extra border lets us trim without cutting into your design.
- Safe zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from each edge so nothing gets cut or lost near the mounting hardware.
- Color mode
- CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined). Do not submit RGB files. RGB is for screens, not print. CMYK files match what you see on your proof to what comes off the press.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the sign face with a damp cloth to remove dirt or mud. Corrugated plastic doesn't need any cleaning product for routine maintenance. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, which can dull the UV-printed surface.
- Pull H-stakes from the ground between deployments and store them dry. Wire stakes rust over time if left in wet soil for weeks without removal. Store signs flat and dry between uses. Do not lean signs at an angle during storage since the fluted plastic will warp under its own weight over time.
- Discard a sign when edges fray, colors fade noticeably, or the fluting (the internal hollow ribs running through the plastic) becomes visible through the front face. That's a clear signal the material has reached the end of its outdoor life.
