4. Height and Shape: When a Swooper Outperforms Other Flag Formats

   The swooper's tall, narrow silhouette reaches 15 to 18 ft and creates constant flutter motion. That combination beats a feather or blade flag when your location sits on a highway or multi-lane road and height above parked vehicles is the deciding factor.

   For sidewalk-level or trade show setups under 10 ft, a feather or teardrop flag fits the space better. And for locations needing maximum width alongside that height, a giant flag steps in where the swooper's narrow face isn't enough.

Accepted formats

PDF, AI, PNG, JPG. Vector files (PDF or AI) give the cleanest edges on logos and text at flag scale.

Resolution

150 DPI minimum at final print size. Go to 300 DPI for any text or logo detail under 4 ft wide, because that's where soft edges become visible on the printed flag.

Bleed

0.25 in on all edges. The sleeve hem takes up some of the pole-side edge, so design your focal elements toward the flag's open face.

Safe zone

Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line so nothing cuts close to the hem or edge seam.

Color mode

CMYK. RGB files convert on our end, but CMYK gives you the most accurate color match to what you see on screen. Bold, thick letterforms and large logo marks hold up best when the flag flutters at road distance. Fine detail and thin strokes get lost in motion.
