Knitted polyester at 110 GSM is a breathable, lightweight fabric that lets wind pass through the weave rather than pushing against a solid surface. That matters because a solid fabric acts like a sail: it strains the pole and stresses the seams. Knitted polyester absorbs the gust instead. Your Surface Determines the Right Base
The steel ground spike pushes into grass, soil, or mulch by hand in seconds and pulls out cleanly after the event. Choose the steel cross base for concrete, asphalt, pavers, or any indoor floor.
The cross base alone isn't enough on a hard surface. Add the fillable water bag (it holds roughly 15 to 20 lbs when full) to keep the flag stable during foot traffic and light wind. Select your base type in the configurator alongside your flag height.

Single-Sided Works for Most Setups
Single-sided printing is standard and fits most locations where traffic approaches from one direction. Your design shows through to the back at roughly 80 percent opacity as a mirror image. That's acceptable for a storefront facing a single street or a booth entrance facing one aisle.

Double-sided uses two printed layers with a blockout layer (a white barrier between them) so each side reads correctly and independently. Get your artwork right
Custom Feather Flags print across a tapered surface, so file setup matters more than most buyers expect. Your logo needs to sit within the widest section of the feather shape to stay fully visible. Keep these specs in mind before you upload.

- Accepted File Formats
- PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) work best for logos because they scale to any flag height without losing edge sharpness.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI recommended. Anything below 150 DPI prints soft, and on a fluttering flag, soft edges look blurry from the road.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. Bleed is the extra image area beyond the cut line that prevents white edges if the fabric shifts slightly during finishing.
- Safe Zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from the flag edges. The pole sleeve takes up the left edge, so logos placed too close get hidden inside the mounting seam.
- Color Mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK is the four-color printing process our press uses. RGB files convert during output and colors can shift in ways that don't match your screen.

Production and Shipping Timeline
Production runs 1 to 2 business days after proof approval. Flag kits ship in long, narrow boxes (typically 4 to 6 ft) with pole sections and base included.

Care instructions
Product care
- Hand wash the flag fabric with mild soap and cold water. Air dry completely before folding or storing. Do not machine wash. Agitation damages the knitted polyester edges and shortens the flag's outdoor lifespan.
- Store the flag loosely folded with pole sections disassembled and packed in the included carry bag. This prevents creasing across the printed face. Replace the flag fabric when the curved flutter edge shows fraying. The pole and base hardware is reusable, so order just the replacement print when the fabric wears out.
- Wipe pole sections with a dry cloth after outdoor use. Rinse the steel ground spike after use in soil to slow surface rust. Drain the water bag completely before transporting the cross base. Check threaded pole connectors for sand or debris before reassembling.
