4 mil PVC Calendar Film With Permanent Outdoor Adhesive
4 mil white PVC calendar film bonds to painted metal, glass, and plastic with permanent adhesive. It holds through road vibration, rain, and temperature swings for 3 to 5 years. Matte finish keeps glare off the surface so your logo reads clearly in direct sun. And because the vinyl conforms to flat and slightly curved truck surfaces, edges stay tight against door panels and tailgates without lifting or bubbling.
UV Printing at 720 DPI Minimum on Full-Color CMYK Output
UV printing (ink cures instantly under ultraviolet light) locks color into the surface at 720 DPI minimum. Your logo stays sharp and scratch-resistant through automatic car washes and highway debris. CMYK output (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined) reproduces accurate color across logos, photos, and bold text. At A2Z Printing Hub, every file goes through a resolution check before your proof goes out. Crisp edges. No soft lines.
Die-Cut to Any Shape Up to 58.5 in Wide
Die-cut finishing cuts to the exact outline of your design rather than a standard rectangle. That lets you match any logo shape or custom graphic up to 58.5 in wide without a seam. Kiss-cut backing keeps the backing sheet intact so the decal peels cleanly and applies without fumbling. But here's the thing: designs wider than 58.5 in ship in multiple pieces with alignment guide markings so joining them on the truck stays straightforward.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Full truck wraps covering the entire vehicle surface fall outside what we do here. Our decals cover specific panels and placements. A local wrap installer is the right call for full coverage.
Daily swap signage between personal and business use wears out permanent adhesive fast. Magnetic Signs attach and remove in seconds with no adhesive and no residue.
Solid vinyl on a rear window blocks your sightline from inside the cab. Perforated Window Decals (70 percent print area, 30 percent holes) give you bold rear-window branding outside and clear visibility inside.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Vinyl Truck Decals configuration.
-
Placement on the Truck Determines Your Size and Shape
Door panels are the largest flat surface on most trucks and the easiest to read at eye level. Start with a die-cut logo at 10 in to 16 in tall for a clean result. Upload your artwork on a transparent background and we cut around the exact outline.
Tailgate graphics run wider. A phone number and company name at roughly 36 in to 48 in wide reads clearly to any driver sitting behind you at a light. Rear windows on crew cab trucks give you even more room: a full business name, website, and contact number can fit in one layout without crowding.
Cab-roof and hood graphics are the least restricted in size. Our cutter handles up to 58.5 in wide in a single piece, so racing stripes and large custom artwork don't need a seam.

Business Fleet Branding Versus Personal Customization Changes Your Order Approach
-
Fleet of 5 or More Trucks
Lock in one size for door panels and one for the rear window across every vehicle. Consistent placement specs mean every truck reads as part of the same operation. Volume discounts apply, so contact us before placing a large fleet order to get accurate quantity pricing.
-
Personal or Single-Truck Use
Pick your placement first, then size to the surface. A 12 in to 14 in die-cut logo on a door panel works for most single-truck builds. Personal graphics like name lettering or stick figure families sit best on the tailgate or rear window where they get the most visibility.
-
Permanent Decal Versus Removable Signage Depends on How Often the Truck Changes Roles
Permanent adhesive on 4 mil PVC bonds tightly to painted metal and glass and holds 3 to 5 years outdoors without lifting. That's solid for a dedicated work truck. But if you need to switch between a branded work truck and a personal vehicle daily, it's not the right fit. Go with Magnetic Signs instead. They attach and remove in seconds, leave zero residue, and store flat in a truck bed or cab when you're off the clock.
Pair it with
When the Truck Switches Between Personal and Business Use
Permanent adhesive decals don't swap out daily. Magnetic Signs attach to your door panel in seconds and store flat in the cab with zero residue left on the paint. That's the right call when one truck covers two roles.
Complete Every Visible Panel on the Truck
A door decal covers the largest flat surface. The tailgate and bumper carry your message to every driver behind you. These three placement-specific products finish a full-truck branding setup.
Rear Window With Visibility Kept Intact
Solid vinyl blocks the rear sightline. Perforated Window Decals (70 percent print area, 30 percent holes) give you bold branding from outside while the driver sees through clearly from inside.
Match Your Truck to Your Storefront
Your truck runs your logo on the road all day. Custom Signs at your location use the same CMYK color output, so the vehicle and the front door read as one consistent brand.
FAQs
Will the Permanent Adhesive Damage My Truck's Paint When I Remove the Decal?
Not on factory paint finishes. Apply low heat from a heat gun, then peel slowly from one corner. Any adhesive residue left behind cleans off with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone. That said, wait at least 30 days after a repaint before applying a decal. Fresh paint needs time to fully cure, and adhesive on uncured paint can pull.
How Long Will Custom Vinyl Truck Decals Hold Up Through Car Washes and Highway Driving?
The 4 mil white PVC calendar film is outdoor rated for 3 to 5 years. UV printing locks the ink into the surface so it resists scratching from road debris and fading from direct sun. Wait 72 hours after application before running the truck through an automatic wash. After that initial cure window, normal car wash use is fine.
Can I Apply a Large Tailgate or Door Decal Myself Without Bubbles or Misalignment?
Most buyers handle decals up to about 24 in wide solo without trouble. For wider tailgate graphics, a second person helps hold the backing sheet flat while you position the decal. Every order ships with application instructions. Work from the center outward with a firm squeegee, and small bubbles flatten on their own within 48 to 72 hours of heat exposure.
Will the Colors on My Logo Stay Accurate After Months of Direct Sun Exposure?
UV-cured inks resist fading because the curing process bonds color directly into the surface rather than sitting on top. Our CMYK output at 720 DPI minimum holds color accuracy through sustained sun exposure for the full 3 to 5 year outdoor rating. Submit your file in CMYK color mode to avoid any shift between screen and print.
What Happens If My Decal Arrives Damaged or the Colors Do Not Match My Approved Proof?
We reprint it at no charge. Your free digital proof shows the exact die-cut shape, size, and color output before we print anything. If the finished decal does not match that approved proof, contact us and we make it right.
Get your artwork right
Resolution sets the floor for how sharp your decal looks on the truck. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. AI (Adobe Illustrator vector format) is best for logos because it scales to any size without losing edge detail.
- Resolution
- Minimum resolution is 150 DPI, but 300 DPI is the right target for anything under 4 ft wide. That's where someone standing at a job site or parking lot gets close enough to spot a soft edge.
- Color mode
- Set your color mode to CMYK before exporting. CMYK is the 4-color process (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) that matches how we print, so colors on your screen come out as expected on the decal. RGB files can shift toward orange or purple tones after conversion.
- Bleed
- Keep a 0.25 in bleed on all sides and hold text and logos at least 0.5 in from the cut edge. For die-cut shapes, upload your artwork on a transparent background so we cut around the exact design outline.
Not ready to build a file? Our free online design tool includes truck placement templates, and our optional design service handles the full layout for you. Submit your artwork on a transparent background for die-cut decals and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wait 72 hours after applying the decal before washing the truck. The adhesive needs that full window to bond firmly to the painted surface. For the first 2 weeks, hand wash around the decal area and keep high-pressure spray off the edges.
- After 2 weeks, normal automatic car wash use is fine. Clean the decal face with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvent-based products, or wax directly on the decal surface, as these break down the UV-printed layer over time.
- To remove the decal, apply low heat from a heat gun and peel slowly from one corner. Any adhesive residue left on the paint clears off with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone. Wait at least 30 days after a fresh repaint before applying a new decal.
