- 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI recommended for decals under 4 ft. At close range, a soft edge shows up fast on reflective vinyl, so 300 DPI is the safer call.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. The cutter needs that buffer to trim cleanly around your shape.
- Safe zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from the design edge. Anything closer risks clipping during die-cut.
- Color mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK is the 4-color process (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) that matches how we print, so colors on your screen translate accurately to the reflective surface.
Upload on a transparent background for die-cut shapes. A transparent background tells the cutter exactly where your design ends and the cut begins. No guessing, no white border showing up around your logo.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wait 72 hours after applying the decal before running the car through a wash. The adhesive needs that time to cure fully against the panel surface. For the first 2 weeks, hand wash around the decal area and avoid high-pressure spray aimed directly at decal edges.
- After 2 weeks, normal automatic car wash use is fine. Clean the decal surface with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvent-based products, or wax applied directly on top of the decal.
- To remove, apply low heat from a heat gun and peel slowly from one corner. Adhesive residue left on the panel cleans off with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone without damaging factory paint.
