How to orderSpecifications
Custom Welcome Home Banners print on PVC Flex vinyl in 11 oz or 16 oz weights. Both weights handle indoor and outdoor display. The 16 oz is the better choice for open driveways and front yards with direct sun and wind exposure.
- Material
- PVC Flex vinyl.A smooth, glossy outdoor material that resists warping and fading through short-term outdoor display.
- Print Method
- Eco-solvent or UV inkjet.Weather-resistant inks bond directly to the vinyl surface so colors stay crisp through rain and sun.
- Color Output
- CMYK full color.Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combine to reproduce photos, bold text, and graphic details across the full banner.
- Finishing
- Brass grommets every 2 ft. Pole pockets. Hem and heat weld. Each option suits a different mounting setup: grommets for fences and railings, pole pockets for rods, hem weld for frames.
- Size Range
- Custom sizing available. Banners wider or taller than 10 ft include a welded seam (a heat-bonded join holding panels together without visible gaps).
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Outdoor rated roughly 6 to 12 months with UV-resistant inks. Indoor display lasts longer because the banner avoids direct sun and rain.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided is standard. Double-sided adds a blockout liner so neither face shows through to the other.
- Weight
- 11 oz or 16 oz.The heavier the weight, the better it holds in open wind without sagging or flapping.

Rush-Ready Printing on 11 oz or 16 oz PVC Flex Vinyl
Two vinyl weights cover every setup. PVC Flex vinyl is a smooth, glossy outdoor material. It runs 11 oz for covered porches and indoor foyers, or 16 oz for open driveways and front yards where wind and sun hit the banner directly. So you get the right weight for where you hang it, not just the heaviest option by default. A2Z Printing Hub prints both weights with eco-solvent or UV inkjet inks (weather-resistant inks bonded directly to the vinyl surface) so colors stay bold through outdoor exposure. Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days. Same-day production is available for orders placed and approved before 12 PM EST.
Brass Grommets and Pole Pockets for Front-of-House Mounting
Brass grommets are metal rings punched into the banner edges for hanging with hooks, zip ties, or rope. They space every 2 ft along the edges. Pole pockets give you a clean sleeve to slide a rod through. Both options let you hang the banner from a porch railing, fence post, or garage door frame without extra hardware. Easy setup. Fast takedown.
Single-Sided or Double-Sided with Blockout Liner
Single-sided printing works for most front-of-house setups where the banner faces one direction toward the street. Double-sided adds a blockout liner (a white layer between front and back prints) so the image reads clearly from both sides of a driveway or open walkway. But if guests approach from two directions, double-sided is the right call. Hem and heat weld (edges folded and sealed with heat) finishes all banners with a clean, reinforced edge that resists fraying.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Ongoing storefront or retail signage that needs to stay up for more than a season. Custom Vinyl Banners handle long-term outdoor advertising better.
Trade show or corporate event backdrops where a celebration design does not fit the setting. Fabric Banners suit those environments.
Permanent outdoor signage lasting more than 12 months. Custom Metal Signs hold up longer without replacement.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Welcome Home Banners configuration.
-
Your Display Location Determines the Vinyl Weight
Outdoor front-of-house setups on fences, garage doors, or porch railings need 16 oz vinyl. That heavier weight resists sagging and flapping when wind hits the banner directly. An indoor foyer or living room backdrop handles 11 oz without any issue, and a pole pocket keeps it flat on a rod. Pick your location first, then select the weight.
-
Wind Exposure Matters More Than Location Alone
A covered porch or sheltered entryway stays calm enough for 11 oz. But an open driveway fence or a yard post gets direct gusts, and 11 oz will flap and pull at the grommets. Go with 16 oz for any spot without overhead cover. Honestly, if you are not sure which category your spot falls into, 16 oz is the safer call and you will not need to reorder.
-
Single-Sided Versus Double-Sided Depends on Who Approaches
Single-sided printing covers most welcome home setups where the banner faces one direction toward the street. If guests approach from two directions (or the banner hangs across an open walkway), add the double-sided blockout liner. That liner, a white layer between the two printed faces, keeps the message readable from both angles without bleed-through.

FAQs
My Event Is Only a Few Days Away. Can I Still Get a Custom Welcome Home Banner in Time?
Yes. Same-day production is available for orders approved before 12 PM EST, so the banner goes into production and ships the same afternoon. Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days, and most banners arrive within 3 to 5 business days total including transit. Place your order early in the day, pick the fastest shipping at checkout, and you're covered.
What Happens If My Banner Arrives Damaged or the Colors Look Wrong?
Send us a photo of the issue and we reprint it at no charge. We do not ask you to ship the original back. Every order includes a free digital proof you approve before we print, so color and layout mismatches are caught before the banner ever leaves production.
Will My Photo Print Clearly at Banner Size?
It depends on the resolution of the file you upload. For any banner under 4 ft or for designs built around a face or a close-up photo, go with 300 DPI (dots per inch, the measure of image sharpness) at final print size. Low-resolution phone screenshots often look soft when stretched across a large surface. Our proof shows you exactly how the image renders before you approve.
How Do I Keep the Banner From Sagging or Blowing Down Outside?
Brass grommets punch in every 2 ft along the edges, giving you consistent anchor points for hooks, zip ties, or rope. For an open driveway or yard fence, 16 oz vinyl holds its shape better than lighter weights under direct wind load. Tighten each attachment point so the banner sits flat rather than bowing in the center.
Do I Need to Know the Exact Size Before I Order?
No exact measurement is needed before you start. The configurator above lets you enter any custom width and height, and the price updates in real time. For a standard garage door or porch railing, a banner in the 3 ft by 8 ft range typically fills the space without overhanging. Wider setups, like a full fence run, often work better at 4 ft tall so text stays readable from the street.
Get your artwork right
Accepted file formats are PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) work best for logos and text because they scale to any banner size without losing sharpness.
- Bleed
- add 0.25 in of extra artwork beyond the trim line on all four sides. This prevents white edges after cutting.
- Safe zone
- keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line so nothing gets clipped during finishing.
- Color mode
- set your file to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) before exporting. RGB files convert automatically, but deep reds and blues can shift in the process. CMYK matches how we print, so colors come out closer to what you see on screen.
Resolution matters most on photo-heavy designs. 150 DPI is the minimum at final print size. For any banner under 4 ft or for layouts with faces and fine text, go with 300 DPI. Low-resolution phone photos often look soft at banner scale, so check your file size before uploading.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the vinyl surface with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt or fingerprints. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrub pads. They scratch the surface and dull the print over time.
- Roll the banner loosely for storage rather than folding it. Folding creates crease lines that don't fully relax. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the banner picks up a crease during storage, lay it flat in direct sunlight for roughly 30 minutes. The vinyl typically relaxes back to flat on its own.
