- Wait 72 hours after applying your hood decal before washing the car. The permanent adhesive needs that window to fully bond to the painted metal. For the first 2 weeks, hand wash around the decal and don't direct high-pressure spray at the edges.
- After 2 weeks, normal automatic car wash use is fine. Clean the decal surface with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, polish compounds, or wax directly on the decal face, as these break down the UV-cured ink layer faster than outdoor exposure does.
- To remove, use a heat gun on a low setting and peel slowly from one corner. Any adhesive residue left on the hood cleans off with rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone without harming factory paint.
