How to orderSpecifications
Silverstep 60 Inch Retractable Banner Stands give you roughly 5 ft of full-color graphic surface in a single floor-standing pull-up unit. Each stand ships with a weighted silver and black aluminum base, a telescopic support pole, and a carry bag. It's built for indoor use and sized for lobbies, trade show booths, and conference stages where one display needs to do serious visual work.
- Material
- Single-sided vinyl graphic pre-installed in the retractable cassette.Vinyl gives a smooth, wipe-clean surface that holds color through repeated retraction cycles.
- Print Method
- UV cured or dye sublimation.UV cured bonds ink to the vinyl surface under ultraviolet light. Dye sublimation converts ink into a gas that absorbs into the graphic for a no-glare finish.
- Color Output
- Full-color CMYK.CMYK is the 4-color process using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to reproduce any brand color across the full 60 in width.
- Finishing
- Retractable cassette mechanism. The cassette is the spring-loaded housing that stores the graphic under tension and releases it smoothly on every pull.
- Size Range
- Width: 60 in. Height: adjustable, typically 78 to 85 in.Available as a graphic package, hardware only, or graphic only depending on your reorder needs.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Indoor use only. Not rated for outdoor wind or rain. Expect full graphic life indoors with no UV degradation from direct sun.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided.The graphic faces one direction, making this stand best for wall-side or booth-back placement.
- Weight
- 8 to 25 lbs depending on display type and size.Carry bag included with every unit so one person transports the full stand without extra equipment.

- 60 In Interchangeable Cassette System on a Weighted Silver and Black Base
- UV Cured and Dye Sublimation Printing on a Single-Sided Vinyl Graphic
- Telescopic Support Pole, Carry Bag, and Tool-Free Setup Under 30 Seconds
60 In Interchangeable Cassette System on a Weighted Silver and Black Base
The cassette mechanism sits inside a weighted silver and black aluminum base built for a 60 in load. That spring-loaded housing stores and tensions the graphic. The extra base weight matters at 5 ft wide. That graphic surface catches more air movement from foot traffic and HVAC systems than a narrower stand does. The cassette is interchangeable, so you swap a new 60 in graphic into the same base without tools, keeping hardware costs flat across every campaign change. A2Z Printing Hub builds this system for marketing teams running 4 or more shows per year who can't justify buying new hardware every time the message changes.
UV Cured and Dye Sublimation Printing on a Single-Sided Vinyl Graphic
Two print methods are available: UV cured and dye sublimation. UV cured bonds ink directly onto the vinyl surface under ultraviolet light, producing crisp, bold color that holds under indoor event lighting. Dye sublimation converts ink into a gas that absorbs into the graphic surface for a no-glare finish. Both methods bond color so the 60 in image stays sharp and doesn't fade between uses. Worth knowing: the vinyl surface is also smooth and wipe-clean, which matters for lobby displays that stay up between events.
Telescopic Support Pole, Carry Bag, and Tool-Free Setup Under 30 Seconds
The telescopic support pole attaches without tools and locks at your chosen height. It holds the graphic taut from 78 to 85 in tall. Extends, locks, done. The carry bag holds the full unit at 8 to 25 lbs. One person loads, transports, and sets up without a cart or a second pair of hands. Pull up, extend, lock. Done in under 30 seconds.
Customer reviews
I was a bit concerned about stability with a wider banner, but the 60-inch Silver Step stand is surprisingly sturdy.
We used the 60-inch stand as a photo backdrop, and it worked perfectly. The wide format was great for group shots.
This stand offers a professional wide-format display. Our graphics looked great, and the stand held up well.
If you need high visibility, the 60-inch stand is the way to go. Our banner was easily seen from across the venue.
The 60-inch Silver Step is large and definitely makes a statement! It provided a fantastic backdrop for our media event. Sturdy enough for its size.
Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Outdoor events with wind or rain. Vinyl with grommets holds up far better in those conditions. See Custom Banners for that job.
Backdrop walls wider than 60 in. A tension fabric Backdrop on an aluminum EZ Tube frame covers 5 ft to 20 ft in a single continuous graphic.
Single-event buyers who won't swap graphics again. A standard Retractable Banner Stand costs less upfront and handles the job without the cassette system.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Silverstep 60 Inch Retractable Banner Stands configuration.
-
The 60 In Width Versus a Narrower Silverstep Size
Sixty inches gives you roughly 5 ft of graphic surface in a single pull-up stand. Go with the 60 in when your booth or lobby runs at least 7 ft wide and your design carries a large product image or a headline that needs room at full scale. Tighter space? The 48 in Silverstep gives you about 20% less surface with a lighter footprint. It fits comfortably beside a 6 ft table and works well as a flanking display beside a wider unit.

The Right Order Type for Your Situation
-
First-Time Buyers
Order the graphic package. You get the base, cassette (the spring-loaded housing that stores and tensions the graphic), telescopic pole, and carry bag together in one box. Nothing to source separately.
-
Returning Buyers
Choose graphic only on every reorder. You drop the shipping weight, cut the cost, and the new cassette drops straight into your existing base with no tools. Hardware only makes sense if you need a spare pole or a replacement bag, not a new graphic.

Vinyl Versus Fabric for the 60 In Graphic
Vinyl suits retail and lobby settings where you wipe the surface between uses. The smooth finish holds color through repeated retraction cycles and cleans in seconds. Fabric suits trade show floors, where event lighting can bounce off vinyl and wash out your colors. Fabric absorbs light instead of reflecting it, so your graphic stays bold and readable under overhead spots. Most trade show exhibitors go fabric. Most lobby managers go vinyl.

The Silverstep 60 In Versus a Full Tension Fabric Backdrop
Stick with the Silverstep 60 in when one person needs to set up in under 30 seconds and pack into a single carry bag. That's the move for solo setup at the end of the night. Move to a tension fabric backdrop on an aluminum EZ Tube frame if your message needs more than 60 in of width. That's a snap-together tube system that assembles without tools. Want a pillow-case graphic (a fabric sleeve that zips around the frame) to cover the full back wall of a 10x10 ft booth? The backdrop handles that.
Pair it with
Complete the Booth Table Below Your Display
Your Silverstep 60 in graphic covers the back wall of a 10x10 ft booth. A Table Cover finishes the surface directly in front of it, so the branded graphic above and the table below read as one unified setup instead of two separate pieces.
Scale Up When 60 In Isn't Wide Enough
The Silverstep tops out at 60 in (5 ft). When your message needs a full back wall, a Backdrop on an aluminum EZ Tube frame covers 5 ft to 20 ft with a pillow-case fabric graphic that zips around the frame. No tools required to assemble it.
Step Down in Width for Tighter Spaces
The Silverstep 48 in gives you roughly 20% less graphic surface with a lighter base. Use it as a flanking display on either side of your 60 in unit, or in a secondary booth position where a narrower footprint fits better.
Cover What the Silverstep Cannot
The Silverstep is indoor only. Custom Banners on 13 oz vinyl with grommets handle outdoor signage at entrances, parking lots, and building facades. Custom Flags add moving, eye-catching vertical branding outside the venue door.
FAQs
A 60 In Stand Sounds Like It Will Tip the Moment Someone Walks Past It
The silver and black aluminum base on the Silverstep 60 in is heavier than a standard retractable base. That extra weight is there because the wider graphic creates more surface for air movement to push against. On flat indoor flooring, the stand stays stable in normal foot traffic. Keep it away from doorways where drafts hit it directly, and it will not move.
Can I Order Just a Replacement Graphic Cassette When My Message Changes?
Yes, and that is the whole point of the interchangeable cassette system. Order graphic only on every reorder and the new cassette fits the same base you already own, with no tools and no new hardware cost. Most marketing teams buying the Silverstep 60 in recoup the hardware cost after 2 to 3 cassette swaps compared to buying a full new unit each time.
Is the Silverstep 60 Inch Retractable Banner Stand Worth the Extra Cost Over a Standard Retractable Stand?
The short answer: yes, if you swap graphics more than once a year. Standard retractable stands top out at around 33 in wide and do not use an interchangeable cassette, so every message change means buying a new unit. The Silverstep 60 in gives you 5 ft of graphic surface and a base you keep for years, with replacement cassettes costing a fraction of the full unit price.
How Long Does It Take to Get My Order From Submission to Delivery?
Graphic production runs 1 to 2 business days after you approve your proof. Submit your file, get a free digital proof within 24 hours, approve it, and your order goes into production the same day. Replacement cassette orders ship lighter than full unit orders and typically arrive faster. Order before 12 PM EST for a same-day production start.
Do I See a Proof Before My Graphic Goes to Print?
Every order gets a free digital proof before production starts. Your 60 in graphic does not go to print until you confirm the layout, colors, and dimensions look right. That proof step is where most file issues get caught, saving you from a reprint.
Get your artwork right
File format matters before anything else. Send your file as PDF, AI, PNG, or JPG. AI (vector) is the best choice for logos because it scales to 60 in without softening edges. Raster files (PNG or JPG) need to be sized correctly at the start.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI recommended for any graphic element a viewer reads from closer than 4 ft. At 60 in wide, your headline sits at roughly arm's length from a passing attendee, so 300 DPI is the safer call.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. This keeps the edge of your graphic from showing a white border after trimming.
- Safe zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from each edge. The cassette housing covers the bottom edge of the graphic, so anything too close to the base gets hidden.
- Color mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) is the 4-color process we print with. RGB files shift color on press and your brand colors won't match the screen version.
- Canvas size
- Set width to exactly 60 in. Height must fall within the 78 to 85 in adjustable range for this model. Worth knowing: a 48 in cassette graphic does not fit a 60 in base.

Care instructions
Product care
- Retract the graphic fully after every use. Leaving the vinyl extended puts continuous tension on the cassette spring and causes the edges to curl over time. Wipe the graphic surface with a dry cloth only. Liquid cleaners and wet wipes can work moisture into the cassette housing and damage the spring mechanism.
- Store the stand upright in the included carry bag. Do not lay the base on its side with weight on top, as this can bend the telescopic pole or crack the cassette housing. Before each setup, check all telescopic pole locks and tighten any loose sections. Extend to full height only after every section is snug, so the graphic stays taut and does not lean forward.
