How to orderSpecifications
Custom Art, Music & Entertainment Banners print on PVC Flex vinyl in either 11 oz or 16 oz weight. Full-color CMYK output covers galleries, theaters, concert venues, museums, and festivals. Both weights handle indoor and outdoor use, with finishing options matched to how arts venues actually mount signage.
- Material
- PVC Flex vinyl.A smooth, glossy surface that holds ink evenly across large areas without cracking or peeling outdoors.
- Print Method
- Eco-solvent or UV inkjet.Weather-resistant inks bond directly to the vinyl surface and hold color outdoors for roughly 6 to 12 months.
- Color Output
- CMYK full color. The 4-color process using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black reproduces artwork, photography, and event graphics across the full color range.
- Finishing
- Brass grommets every 2 ft. Pole pockets along top or bottom edge. Hem and heat weld for sealed, frame-ready edges. Each option suits a different mounting setup at arts venues.
- Size Range
- Fully custom.Banners wider or taller than 10 ft include a welded seam to keep the surface flat and the print aligned.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Rated for both.Outdoor banners with UV-resistant inks typically last 6 to 12 months in direct sun. Indoor banners last longer with no UV exposure.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided is standard. Double-sided uses a blockout liner between the two print faces to prevent show-through on ceiling-hung or entrance-arch displays.
- Weight
- 11 oz for indoor lobby displays and short-term outdoor use. 16 oz for building facades, festival grounds, and locations with sustained wind or extended outdoor runs.

Arts-Scale Vinyl Built for Venue Facades and Festival Grounds
PVC Flex vinyl runs 11 oz for lobby and gallery wall displays or 16 oz for building facades and festival grounds. It's a smooth, glossy outdoor material that holds ink without cracking or peeling. Sizing is fully custom. Banners wider or taller than 10 ft include a welded seam, which keeps the surface flat and the printed image aligned under tension. That matters most when a theater facade banner stretches across two stories and every edge needs to stay taut through wind and rain.
Double-Sided Printing with Blockout Liner for High-Traffic Displays
Eco-solvent or UV inkjet inks bond directly to the vinyl surface so colors hold outdoors roughly 6 to 12 months. Double-sided printing uses a blockout liner, a white layer sandwiched between front and back faces that stops ink from bleeding through. Both faces read cleanly whether the banner hangs from a ceiling truss, an entrance arch, or a suspended lobby rod. Single-sided is standard for flat wall and fence mounts. Color accuracy on fine art reproduction and event photography stays sharp on both options.
Three Finishing Options Matched to How Arts Venues Actually Hang Signage
Here's the thing: finishing choice controls how fast your banner goes up and how clean it looks. Brass grommets punch in every 2 ft along the hem for hook or zip-tie mounting on barricades and exterior walls. Pole pockets are fabric sleeves along the top or bottom edge that slide over any standard rod or pipe. And hem and heat weld folds and seals the edges for a clean, reinforced finish on frame-mounted gallery and theater displays. A2Z Printing Hub builds each finishing option to match the actual mounting hardware arts venues use.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Personal music fan celebrations not tied to a venue or event organization land in the wrong category here. Event Banners cover birthday and party setups better.
Seasonal holiday decor for a home or yard with no arts-industry connection belongs elsewhere. Holiday Banners offer the right templates and sizing for that use case.
Touring music acts needing portable stage backdrops that travel with the band should look at Custom Band Banners, which are built specifically for that setup.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Art, Music & Entertainment Banners configuration.
-
Outdoor Venue Facade Versus Indoor Lobby or Gallery Wall
Location sets the material weight. Outdoor facade and festival ground banners need 16 oz PVC Flex vinyl, which holds flat against sustained wind and handles rain without sagging or peeling. Indoor lobby and gallery wall banners can run on 11 oz vinyl, which is lighter and easier to reposition between shows. Start with 16 oz any time the banner mounts above 8 ft on an exterior wall.
-
Single-Sided Wall Mount Versus Double-Sided Ceiling or Arch Hang
Single-sided is the right call for any flat wall, fence, or barricade mount where viewers see only one face. But a banner hanging from a ceiling rod or stretched across an entrance arch is visible from both directions. For those installs, choose double-sided with a blockout liner (the white layer between front and back that stops ink from bleeding through) so both faces read cleanly. Single-sided does not work for two-direction visibility.
-
Grommets for Fence and Barricade Tie-Down Versus Pole Pockets for Rod-Mounted Interior Displays
-
Grommets Every 2 ft
Choose brass grommets when the banner ties to a fence, barricade rail, or exterior wall with hooks or zip ties. Festival grounds and outdoor venue facades almost always use grommets because they distribute tension across the full hem.
-
Pole Pockets for Interior Rods
Choose pole pockets when the banner slides over a standard rod or pipe inside a gallery, theater lobby, or museum corridor. Pole pockets hide the hardware completely, which matters for gallery and museum installs where clean presentation counts.
-
Short-Run Event Signage Versus a Full Season of Rotating Programming
Here's the thing: a single-weekend opening or one-night concert works fine on 11 oz vinyl. It prints sharp, costs less, and comes down easily without damaging the mount. For a full season of rotating show banners cycling through the same outdoor mounting points, go with 16 oz. It holds up through repeated installs and weather cycles without fraying at the edges or losing tension at the grommets.
Pair it with
Flags, Tents, and Tables That Finish the Venue Setup
Your facade banner covers the vertical space above the entrance. Custom Flags planted at the driveway or festival gate add a second layer of visibility at eye level, roughly 8 to 10 ft below the main banner. Canopy Tents shelter ticketing and merchandise areas at outdoor arts events, and Table Covers finish the box office or merch table underneath.
A Softer Material for Indoor Gallery and Theater Lobbies
Fabric Banners (230 GSM polyester, dye sublimation printed) drape naturally with zero surface glare. That matters under gallery lighting where vinyl reflection can wash out fine art reproduction.
Banners Built for the Music Side of This Category
Custom Band Banners cover touring acts that need stage backdrops and merch table signage. Unlike venue banners, these travel with the performer rather than staying fixed at a location.
Permanent and Freestanding Display Options
Custom Signs in metal or acrylic handle permanent venue identification that outlasts any banner run. Banner Stands give lobby and gallery banners a freestanding mount with no wall hardware needed.
FAQs
Will My Exhibition Artwork or Event Photography Stay Sharp When Scaled to a Large Banner?
Color accuracy is the top worry arts buyers bring to us, and it's a fair one. We print in CMYK full color using eco-solvent or UV inkjet, which bonds ink directly to the vinyl surface and holds detail across large surface areas. Submit your file at 150 DPI minimum at final print size, and 300 DPI for any banner under 4 ft where viewers stand close enough to spot a soft edge. The free digital proof shows every detail before we run the job.
Can I Get My Banner Finished in Time for an Opening Night or Festival Date?
Standard production runs 1 to 2 business days, so most event deadlines land well within reach from order date. Place your order before 12 PM EST and your banner goes into production the same day. Orders of 10 or more banners typically add 1 to 2 business days. That still leaves room for most festival and opening night timelines if you order a few days out.
What Happens if the Banner Arrives and the Colors Do Not Match My Original Artwork Files?
Submit your file in CMYK color mode before ordering. RGB files convert during prepress and colors can shift, especially in deep reds and saturated blues common in arts and entertainment artwork. If your banner still arrives and the print does not match the approved proof, we reprint it at no charge. The free proof step is there specifically so color problems get caught before we print.
Do Banners Wider Than 10 ft Show a Visible Seam Through the Printed Image?
Banners wider or taller than 10 ft include a welded seam to keep the surface flat and the print aligned under tension. The weld fuses the two vinyl panels along a straight line, and a skilled layout accounts for it by keeping critical image detail away from the seam zone. Worth knowing: on a facade banner viewed from across the street, the seam is not visible at normal viewing distances.
Is 16 oz Vinyl Worth the Added Cost for a Banner Running Through Only One Festival Weekend?
Honestly, it depends on the mount. If your banner ties to a fence or barricade rail at ground level with grommets every 2 ft and weather is calm, 11 oz handles a single weekend without trouble. But if the banner mounts above 8 ft on a building facade or spans a wide entrance arch where wind catches it, 16 oz is the safer call. One torn banner on opening day costs more to replace than the weight upgrade.
Get your artwork right
File format matters before anything else. Submit your artwork as a PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI file. AI (vector format) is the best choice for logos because vector art scales to any banner size without losing a sharp edge.
- Resolution
- Resolution sets print clarity. Minimum 150 DPI at final print size. Go to 300 DPI for any banner under 4 ft. Viewers get close enough to spot a soft edge on exhibition or lobby displays, and most buyers don't catch this until the proof comes back.
- Bleed
- Add 0.25 in of bleed (extra artwork beyond the trim line) on all four sides to prevent white edges after cutting. Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line so nothing gets clipped during finishing.
- Color mode
- Submit files in CMYK color mode. RGB files convert during prepress and colors can shift, especially in the deep reds and saturated blues common in arts and entertainment artwork. CMYK matches how we print, so what you see on screen is what comes out on vinyl.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the vinyl surface with a damp cloth and mild soap after each outdoor run. Do not machine wash or submerge the banner in water.
- Roll your banner for storage rather than folding it. Fold creases in PVC Flex vinyl are difficult to remove and can distort the printed image at exhibition or lobby scale. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sun.
- But if a crease forms during transport, lay the banner flat in direct sunlight for about 30 minutes. The vinyl relaxes and the crease typically flattens without any tools.
