How to orderSpecifications
Stretch Cross Over Table Covers use 180g spandex-blend polyester cut into an X-pattern sash that crosses the table top and leaves portions of the surface exposed. The elastic fabric pulls skin-tight across any 4 ft, 6 ft, or 8 ft standard folding table. This is the only cover style in our catalog that combines branded fabric straps with an open, usable table surface.

180g Spandex-Blend Polyester in an X-Pattern Sash Configuration
180g spandex-blend polyester (an elastic fabric that pulls in four directions simultaneously) forms every Cross Over cover we make. The 4-way stretch grips the table frame from edge to edge, so the fabric anchors under the legs and holds its position from setup through teardown. No bunching. No shifting. The elastic weight sits heavy enough to stay taut without feeling rigid when you pull it over the corners.
A2Z Printing Hub bonds the fabric at this weight specifically so the straps lie flat across the table surface rather than sagging between anchor points.
Dye Sublimation at 300 DPI Printed on the Fabric Straps
Dye sublimation runs at 300 DPI across every printable strap panel. It works by converting ink into a gas that bonds directly into the fabric fibers. Because the ink lives inside the fiber rather than on top of it, logos stay crisp and readable from roughly 10 ft across a booth aisle. And the print won't crack or peel after repeated cold-water machine washes. That matters when you're reusing the cover across a full trade show calendar.
The sublimation ink also stretches with the spandex, so your logo doesn't distort when the fabric pulls tight. Sharp edges stay sharp.
Exclusive Cross Over Design With Exposed Table Surface
No standard or fitted cover in our catalog crosses the table surface. This X-pattern sash configuration is the only style that leaves the table top partially open. Your products, devices, or samples sit directly on the table while branded straps frame them on all sides. The angular geometry reads as intentional at design-forward shows, not like a cover that slipped out of place.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Buyers who need one cover to fit multiple table sizes should choose Standard Table Covers instead. The stretch fabric has zero size forgiveness.
Buyers who want a traditional or formal table presentation should choose Fitted Pleated Table Covers. The cross-over silhouette reads as modern, not structured or classic.
Buyers who don't need custom printing should choose Blank Table Covers and pair a Table Runner across the top for a logo accent at lower cost.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Stretch Cross Over Table Covers configuration.
-
Stretch Versus Fitted Versus Standard Fit Type
The fit type shapes how your table reads from across the aisle. Standard drapes loosely for a classic look and fits multiple table sizes without adjustment. Fitted hugs the corners for a tailored, structured appearance. Stretch pulls skin-tight in spandex-blend polyester, so the table looks almost sculptural with zero bunching through a full event day.
Choose stretch when your brand reads as contemporary and your table is in good condition. Go to the configurator and select Stretch Cross Over once you confirm your table size.
-
Table Size Selection and Exact Fit Requirement
Measure your table before you order. Stretch fabric has zero size forgiveness: a 6 ft cover will not fit an 8 ft table, and the reverse is equally true. Select your exact table length at checkout. The cover cuts to that size, and the elastic grip anchors under the table legs without clips or ties.
-
Strap Panel Design and Exposed Surface Planning
The printable area on a Cross Over cover is the fabric straps only. The exposed table surface between the straps is not printed. Plan your logo and text to work on narrower strap panels.
Use our design tool, which applies a stretch compensation factor so your graphics display correctly when the spandex pulls tight. Logos and text stay readable from roughly 10 ft away at 300 DPI.

Table Condition Check Before Ordering Stretch
Here's the thing: skin-tight spandex is unforgiving on table surfaces. Run your hand across the table before ordering. Dents, chips, and uneven legs show through the stretched fabric because the spandex presses directly against the surface.
If your folding table has visible damage, a Standard or Fitted cover hides imperfections better. Reserve this cover for tables in good condition.
Pair it with
Stand Tall Behind the Table
Your Cross Over cover handles the table surface. Retractable Banner Stands placed directly behind the table add vertical branded messaging at eye level, giving attendees something to read while they approach. Custom Flags flanking the table pull foot traffic from across the room before anyone reaches your display.
Layer a Second Brand Element on the Exposed Surface
The straps frame the table, but the open surface between them is real estate worth using. Table Runners and Toppers lay across that exposed area, adding a second branded layer without blocking what sits on top.
Full Coverage When You Need It
The Cross Over style exposes the table surface by design. But if you need all four sides covered for a different event, Stretch 4-Sided Table Covers use the same 180g spandex-blend fabric with full coverage. Stretch Round Table Covers bring the same elastic fit to cocktail highboy pedestal tables.
Take the Setup Outdoors
Custom Canopy Tents shelter the table and your team in light outdoor conditions. They pair with the Cross Over cover for a complete branded outdoor station at markets, activations, and outdoor conferences.
FAQs
Will the X-Pattern Straps Stay in Position All Day or Shift During the Event?
The 180g spandex-blend polyester grips under the table legs and holds the strap configuration anchored without clips or ties. Elastic tension keeps the X-pattern flat and aligned from setup through breakdown. But if the table legs are uneven or damaged, the fabric tension distributes unevenly and the straps can pull slightly off-center.
Does the Dye Sublimation Print Stretch and Distort When the Fabric Pulls Tight?
Dye sublimation bonds ink directly into the fabric fibers, so the ink stretches with the spandex rather than cracking or peeling away from the surface. Our design tool applies a stretch compensation factor that slightly compresses your artwork before printing, so logos and text display correctly when the cover pulls tight. The visual shift is not noticeable from a viewing distance of roughly 10 ft.
How Long Does It Take to Put On a Stretch Cross Over Table Cover?
One person can put it on. Pull the cover over the table top, align the X-pattern straps across the surface, then tuck the elastic grip under each table leg. First setup takes roughly 3 to 5 minutes. With one event of practice, most people get it under 2 minutes.
Can I Machine Wash the Cover Between Events Without Losing Elasticity or Color?
Machine wash cold with mild detergent and tumble dry on low heat. Hot water and high-heat drying are the two conditions that degrade spandex elasticity permanently. With proper cold-wash care, the fabric typically holds its grip for 2 to 3 years of regular event use. Colors stay sharp because dye sublimation ink is embedded in the fibers, not sitting on the surface.
Will the Spandex Fabric Show Dents or Scratches on My Folding Table Through the Cover?
Yes, and this is the most common sizing-adjacent mistake buyers make. Skin-tight spandex presses directly against the table surface, so dents, chips, and rough edges show through clearly. Standard Table Covers or Fitted Table Covers hide surface imperfections better because the fabric does not press flat against the table. Order this cover only for tables in good condition.
Get your artwork right
Accepted file formats are PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) work best for logos because they scale without losing edge clarity on the strap panels.
- Resolution
- minimum 150 DPI, recommended 300 DPI. At 300 DPI, text on the strap panels stays sharp and readable from roughly 10 ft away.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all strap panel edges. Bleed (extra artwork beyond the cut line) prevents white slivers at the strap borders after trimming.
- Safe zone
- keep logos and text at least 0.5 in from every strap edge. Anything closer risks getting clipped during sewing.
- Color mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK matches how we print, so the colors your screen shows come out as expected on the finished fabric.
Worth knowing: the printable area covers the fabric straps only. The exposed table surface between the straps is not printed. Design your logo and text to work on narrower strap panels, not across the full table width.
Our free online design tool applies a stretch compensation factor automatically, so your graphics display correctly once the spandex pulls tight. And if you'd rather hand it off, our professional design service builds the layout for you. Submit your table cover logo and our team sends you a free digital proof showing your branding on each printed panel.

Care instructions
Product care
- Spandex-blend polyester needs cold water only. Machine wash cold with mild detergent and do not bleach. Hot water degrades spandex elasticity permanently, and that loss cannot be reversed.
- Tumble dry on low heat or air dry flat. High heat is the single biggest threat to the elastic in this fabric. Do not iron directly. If creases appear (rare with spandex), use a handheld steamer on low heat instead.
- Fold loosely for storage or hang on a wide hanger. Compressing or balling up the cover causes creases that are harder to remove than in standard polyester. With proper cold-wash care, elasticity typically lasts 2 to 3 years. Replace the cover when the fabric no longer grips the table edges tightly.
