How to orderSpecifications
Custom Conference Room Signs run on 3/16 in white foamcore, a rigid, lightweight panel with a polystyrene foam core and smooth bright white faces. These signs are sized for door and wall mounting in indoor commercial spaces, typically ordered as a matched set across a full floor or building.
- Material
- 3/16 in white foamcore. Polystyrene core holds its shape in a frame or against a smooth wall without warping under normal indoor conditions.
- Print Method
- Direct UV print bonds ink to the foamcore face and cures it instantly, producing a scratch-resistant finish that stays sharp under indoor lighting.
- Color Output
- CMYK full-color (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined). Reproduces logos, color blocks, and room names accurately across every panel in a matched set.
- Finishing
- Clean-cut edges, flat-shipped, ready for frame insertion or adhesive mounting. Standard panels do not include grommets or pre-drilled holes.
- Size Range
- Typically 6x8 in to 10x12 in for standard conference room door signs. Custom dimensions are available for non-standard frames or wall cutouts.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Rated for indoor use only. Expected display life is open-ended with normal care indoors.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided printing is standard for door-mounted signs. Double-sided is available for panels displayed in freestanding frames or hallway hangers.
- Weight
- A 10x12 in panel weighs well under 1 lb, so adhesive strips hold it flat without wall anchors.

3/16 in Foamcore With Direct UV Print
White foamcore runs exactly 3/16 in thick on every sign we produce. It's a rigid panel built from a polystyrene foam core bonded between two smooth bright white faces. That thickness gives each panel enough rigidity to sit flat inside a door frame or mount flush against drywall without bowing. Direct UV print bonds the image directly to the white face, curing instantly under ultraviolet light. The result: a scratch-resistant finish that stays sharp under indoor fluorescent and LED lighting. Crisp text. Solid color blocks. No lamination needed.
Consistent Design System Across Every Room
Ordering your full set at once means every room sign shares the same font, color values, and layout. The hallway reads as one coordinated system rather than a patchwork of mismatched panels. A2Z Printing Hub produces every panel in a set from a single proof approval, so Room 101 and the Board Room do not drift apart in color or spacing. Upload one master file, list each room name as a variable, and we handle the rest. That's the difference between a matched set and a collection of close-enough panels.
ADA-Ready Layout Options for Room Identification
Room name, capacity number, and ADA symbols all fit cleanly on panels ranging from 6x8 in to 10x12 in. (The International Symbol of Accessibility and related pictograms slot in without crowding the layout.) Visitors and staff read the door from roughly 3 to 6 ft away, so layout clarity matters more than size. Worth knowing: standard foamcore UV print handles the visual layout. Tactile lettering and Grade 2 Braille are not produced on standard foamcore, so contact us before ordering if your building needs fully ADA-compliant tactile signs.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Outdoor building or entrance identification is not a good match. Foamcore is rated for indoor use only. Custom Aluminum Signs handle permanent outdoor mounting without weather damage.
Lobby hero displays need a bolder first impression than foamcore delivers. Custom Lobby Signs on acrylic with standoff mounts give that look.
Temporary or promotional signage that moves between venues belongs on a different substrate. Custom Banners handle flexible, short-term messaging far better.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Conference Room Signs configuration.
-
One Panel vs. a Full Room Set
A single replacement panel works fine when you need one door covered. But ordering your full floor at once keeps fonts, color values, and layout identical across every room. Upload one design file and list each room name as a variable. We produce the full set from a single proof approval, so no two doors come out looking different.
-
The Right Panel Size for Your Door or Frame
Most standard door sign frames accept a 6x8 in or 8.5x11 in insert. Measure your existing frame opening before you order. And if you don't have frames yet, a 10x12 in panel gives enough space for a room name, a capacity line, and an ADA symbol without crowding the layout. Worth knowing: measure the opening, not the frame's outer edge.

ADA Symbols and Capacity Numbers: What Foamcore Handles
-
Visual Layout vs. Tactile ADA Compliance
Foamcore UV print handles room names, capacity numbers, and ADA symbol placement cleanly on any panel size. That said, tactile lettering and Grade 2 Braille are not produced on standard foamcore. If your building needs fully ADA-compliant tactile signs, contact us before ordering so we can point you to the right material.
-
Fitting Room Name, Capacity, and Symbols Together
On a 6x8 in panel, keep your room name at roughly 1 in tall and your capacity line at 0.5 in. That combination reads clearly from 3 to 6 ft away without crowding the symbol area.
-
Mounting Method: Frame, Adhesive Strip, or Standoff
Adhesive strips hold a foamcore panel flat against drywall or a smooth door surface with no tools and no hardware. Frames accept the panel as a drop-in insert. If you want a floating look, acrylic panels with standoff mounts are the better choice. Stick with foamcore when the sign sits inside a frame or mounts flush to a smooth wall.
Pair it with
Complete the Room Identification System
Conference room signs tell people which room they've reached. But visitors need help finding the right hallway first. Custom Directory Signs list every room on a single lobby board so guests navigate before they start walking. Custom Directional Arrow Signs guide people through intersections and corridor turns to the correct wing.
Alternative Materials for a Different Look
Foamcore sits flat inside a frame and mounts flush to smooth walls. Some spaces call for something with more visual weight. Acrylic Signs on 1/4 in clear plexiglass with standoff mounts give conference room signs a floating appearance suited to executive floors. Those small metal spacers hold the panel away from the wall for a clean, upscale look.
Finish the Door and Wall System
A conference room sign covers one specific door. Custom Door Signs extend that identification to every other entrance across the building. Custom Wall Signs carry the same system to surfaces beyond the doorframe, keeping the full interior consistent from the entrance hallway to the back offices.
Anchor the Building-Wide Sign Package
Room signs work best when the broader interior is already oriented. Custom Lobby Signs anchor the entrance with the first sign visitors see. Custom Indoor Signs cover general interior identification across departments, tying every layer of the sign system together in one coordinated package.
FAQs
Can I Order a Matched Set With the Same Layout Across Every Room?
Yes. Upload one master design file and list each room name in the order notes. We apply the same font, color values, and layout to every panel in the set, so the hallway reads as one coordinated system. Sets of 10 or more panels also qualify for automatic volume discounts.
Will the Colors on My Signs Match Our Brand Standards Exactly?
CMYK UV print reproduces your brand colors accurately across every panel in the set. Before we print a single panel, we send you a free digital proof showing the exact layout and color output. If your brand uses specific Pantone references, convert them to CMYK values before uploading and note them in the order comments so we can check the output against your standard.
How Long Does Foamcore Hold Up When Mounted Indoors?
Foamcore panels mounted indoors under normal conditions last as long as you keep them. The UV-cured ink bonds directly to the smooth white face and resists scratching under standard indoor handling. Keep panels away from heat sources above roughly 100 degrees Fahrenheit, which can soften the polystyrene core over time.
What Happens if a Panel Arrives Damaged or Has a Print Error?
We reprint and reship at no cost to you. If the damage happened in transit or the error is on our end, contact us with a photo and your order number. We do not ask you to return the damaged panel before we start the reprint.
How Fast Can I Get a Full Set for a Building Move-In Deadline?
Standard foamcore panels produce in 1 to 2 business days. A multi-room set of 10 or more panels typically ships within 2 to 3 business days depending on quantity. Add 1 to 5 business days for shipping based on your location. Order early in the week to avoid a weekend gap between production and carrier pickup.
Get your artwork right
- Accepted formats
- PDF, AI, PNG, JPG. Vector files (AI or PDF with outlined fonts) work best for logos because they scale to any panel size without softening.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI is the floor, but 300 DPI at final print size is what we recommend. On a 6x8 in panel, a soft edge at 150 DPI shows up at 3 ft. Worth knowing before you export.
- Bleed
- Add 0.25 in on all four sides so the print reaches the cut edge cleanly. Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in inside the trim line so nothing gets clipped.
- Color mode
- Set your file to CMYK before exporting. RGB color (the mode screens use) shifts when converted to print, and reds and oranges are the first to drift. CMYK matches how our press reads color, so what you see in your file is what prints on the panel.
Not sure your file is ready? Use our free online design tool or hand it to our design team. Upload your sign artwork and our team sends you a free digital proof showing the exact print layout and corner style within 24 hours.

Care instructions
Product care
- Wipe the printed face with a lightly damp cloth to remove dust or fingerprints. Do not use abrasive cloths or solvent-based cleaners. Those can lift the UV ink surface and leave dull patches across the panel face.
- Keep foamcore away from heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight. Sustained heat above roughly 100 degrees Fahrenheit softens the polystyrene core and causes bowing that a frame cannot correct.
- Store unused or replacement panels flat on a level surface. Leaning a panel against a wall for more than a few days creates a permanent curve. And if you're removing a panel mounted with adhesive strips, pull the strip tab straight down rather than pulling the panel outward, which can tear the white face.
