How to orderSpecifications
Custom Teardrop Clip Flags print on 4 oz polyester mesh fabric using dye sublimation. A clamp base mounts to table edges, tent poles, railings, and fences. They work indoors and outdoors without a freestanding base, making them the go-to flag for trade show tables and event activations where ground mounting is not possible.
- Material
- 4 oz polyester mesh fabric. The open-weave mesh lets air pass through, reducing stress on the clamp and pole in outdoor wind.
- Print Method
- Dye sublimation.Ink bonds into the polyester fibers, so color stays sharp through repeated packing and unpacking across events.
- Color Output
- Full CMYK.Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combine to reproduce logos, gradients, and photographic images accurately across the flag face.
- Finishing
- Teardrop frame and clamp base hardware included. No additional mounting hardware needed at the event.
- Size Range
- Flag height 6 to 18 ft depending on configuration.Flag width varies with the teardrop shape at each height.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.Outdoor lifespan is roughly 6 to 12 months with regular event use. Indoor use extends beyond that range.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided print is standard. The design shows through to the back as a mirror image.Double-sided uses two fabric layers with a blockout layer (a white barrier between printed sides) between them so both sides read correctly.
- Mounting Hardware
- Fiberglass and aluminum pole sections plus a clamp base. The fiberglass top section flexes in wind without snapping.

Clamp Mounting That Grips Tables, Tent Poles, and Railings
The clamp base grips surfaces up to roughly 2 in thick. That covers table edges, tent pole tubes, metal railings, and fence posts. No drilling. No staking. No floor hardware. You get a branded display at any event without modifying the surface or losing square footage in your booth. That matters most at trade shows, where every inch of table space counts.
Teardrop Shape Stays Taut Without Wind
The rounded teardrop frame holds the flag taut even in still indoor air. Your logo reads clearly whether you're at a trade show table or an outdoor festival booth. Most flag shapes go limp the moment wind drops. The teardrop's rigid frame eliminates that problem entirely. Bold graphics and sharp text stay readable all day, indoors or out.
Dye Sublimation on 4 oz Polyester Mesh Fabric
Dye sublimation converts ink to a gas that bonds directly into the polyester fibers. A2Z Printing Hub runs this process on every flag in this line. The fabric is 4 oz polyester mesh, an open-weave material that lets air pass through and reduces stress on the clamp in outdoor wind. Full CMYK color (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) reproduces logos, gradients, and photographic images accurately across the flag face. Colors don't crack, peel, or fade through repeated packing and unpacking across events.
Sharp colors. Crisp logo. Done without a single tool at setup.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Permanent freestanding outdoor flagging where a ground-anchored display runs day after day. Advertising Flags with a ground spike or cross base handle that job.
Large-scale roadside visibility where height above 6 ft is needed to clear parked vehicles. Giant Flags in the Advertising Flags line are the right call there.
Primary booth backdrop branding where a large display surface is needed behind the table. Retractable Banner Stands cover that role.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Teardrop Clip Flags configuration.
-
Single-Sided or Double-Sided Print
Think about how visitors move past your table. Single-sided works for most trade show setups where foot traffic approaches from one direction, the front of your booth. The design shows through to the back as a mirror image, which is readable but reversed. Go double-sided when your table sits in an open floor plan and people walk around all four sides. The blockout layer (a white barrier between two printed fabric faces) keeps both sides reading correctly with no bleed-through. Add the double-sided option at checkout.
-
Flag Height for Your Table Setup
The 6 to 18 ft height range covers seated conferences to packed festival grounds. Here's the thing: a flag at the lower end of that range sits at roughly standing eye level when the clamp grips a standard 30 in trade show table. Taller flags, closer to the 14 to 18 ft end, clear heads in dense crowds and work better at outdoor festivals. Shorter flags, in the 6 to 10 ft range, suit conference rooms and convention centers where ceiling height limits you. Match height to who you're trying to catch: seated attendees or a moving crowd.
-
Clip Flag or Freestanding Advertising Flag
Choose clip flags when the venue does not allow freestanding bases on the floor, or when you need branding on an existing structure like a tent pole or railing. The clamp grips surfaces up to roughly 2 in thick. No drilling or staking needed. But if you have open ground space and need a taller anchored display, Advertising Flags on a ground spike or cross base handle that job.
-
When the Venue Bans Freestanding Bases
Clip flags are the direct answer. They attach to what's already there.
-
When You Have Floor Space
Freestanding Advertising Flags add height and visibility from farther away.
-
How Many Flags to Order
One flag per table or station covers most single-booth setups. For street team activations, order one per brand ambassador. Volume pricing applies at 5 or more units, so count your full event team before placing the order. Ordering short and reordering costs you lead time at the next event.
Pair it with
Anchor the Table, Brand the Space Above It
Your clip flag handles the vertical branding. A Table Cover finishes the horizontal surface below it, so your booth reads as one consistent display from every angle. Add a Custom Canopy Tent and the tent poles become the mounting points for your clip flags directly.
Other Clip Flag Shapes on the Same Clamp Base
Same clamp hardware, different silhouette. Custom Blade Clip Flags give a straight modern edge for corporate booth tables. Custom Rectangle Clip Flags open up the most printable area for text-heavy messaging or QR codes.
Take the Same Teardrop Shape Into the Crowd
Custom Teardrop Backpack Flags use the same dye sublimation print and teardrop shape. They mount on a backpack harness so a brand ambassador carries your logo into the crowd while your clip flag holds the table.
Wider Visibility at the Same Event
Clip flags brand the table at close range. Custom Banners hung on fences or railings extend your message across the venue. Advertising Flags on a freestanding base mark your location from roughly 50 ft out so attendees can find you before they reach the table.
FAQs
Which Surfaces Does the Clamp Base Actually Hold Onto?
The clamp grips any rigid surface with an edge up to roughly 2 in thick. That covers standard folding table edges, tent pole tubes, metal railings, fence posts, and display frame edges. Surfaces need to be rigid enough to resist the clamp pressure without flexing. Soft foam edges or thin cardboard panels will not hold it securely.
Will the Teardrop Shape Stay Readable Indoors With No Wind?
Yes. The teardrop frame is rigid, so the flag holds its silhouette in still air. This is the main reason to choose a teardrop shape over a feather flag for indoor use. Feather flags can go limp in calm air. The teardrop stays taut and your logo reads clearly whether you're under convention center lighting or in a quiet conference hall.
Can I Order a Replacement Flag Print Without Buying New Hardware?
Flag graphics and hardware are sold separately, so you only pay for a fresh print when the fabric wears out. Order a replacement when edges show fraying or colors soften after 6 to 12 months of regular event use. Your existing clamp and pole system snaps right onto the new flag with no tools.
How Do Teardrop Clip Flags Hold Up Through a Full Day Outdoors?
The 4 oz polyester mesh fabric lets air pass through the weave, which reduces stress on the clamp and pole during outdoor wind exposure. Colors are dye sublimated directly into the fibers, so they do not crack or peel through repeated packing and unpacking. Outdoor lifespan runs roughly 6 to 12 months with regular event use. Bring the flag indoors between events to extend that range.
What File Types Do You Accept and How Quickly Do I Get a Proof?
We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files at a minimum of 150 DPI (dots per inch, the measure of image sharpness). For flags under 4 ft where viewers get close, 300 DPI gives you a crisper result. Upload your file at checkout and we send a free digital proof showing your design on the teardrop shape. Orders placed before 12 PM EST go into production the same day after you approve it.
Get your artwork right
Custom Teardrop Clip Flags print at full CMYK color across the teardrop face. Your file setup determines how sharp that print looks at close range, and trade show visitors get close.
- Accepted Formats
- PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) work best for logos because they scale without softening.
- Resolution
- Minimum 150 DPI at final print size. We recommend 300 DPI for flags under 4 ft, where viewers stand close enough to catch a soft edge.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. The teardrop frame trims near the edge, so artwork that runs to the bleed line stays intact after finishing.
- Safe Zone
- Keep logos and text at least 0.5 in from all edges. Anything closer risks getting clipped by the frame seam.
- Color Mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK matches how dye sublimation printing lays ink into polyester mesh fibers, so the colors you see on screen come out accurately on the flag face. RGB files shift during conversion and can throw off brand colors.

Care instructions
Product care
- Hand wash the flag fabric with mild soap and cold water. The 4 oz polyester mesh weave traps soap residue if rinsed in warm water, so keep it cold. Do not machine wash. Machine washing damages the fibrous edges of the mesh and shortens the flag's usable lifespan.
- Air dry the flag completely before folding and storing. Packing damp mesh causes mildew to form inside the weave between events. Wipe the clamp mechanism with a dry cloth after every outdoor use, and check the spring tension before each event. Replace the clamp if it no longer grips the surface securely. Replacement flag prints are available without new hardware when edges show fraying or colors fade after 6 to 12 months of regular use.
