How to orderSpecifications
Custom Blade Clip Flags are blade-shaped promotional flags printed on 4 oz polyester mesh fabric using dye sublimation. The clamp base mounts to any surface with an edge: trade show tables, tent poles, railings, and fences. They work indoors and outdoors without a ground spike or freestanding base.
- Material
- 4 oz polyester mesh fabric. The open-weave structure lets air pass through, reducing stress on the clamp and pole in outdoor wind.
- Print Method
- Dye sublimation printing.Ink converts to a gas and bonds into the polyester fibers, so color cannot crack or peel off the surface.
- Color Output
- Full CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) dye sublimation. All four ink channels combine to reproduce your logo and brand colors across the full blade face.
- Finishing
- Fiberglass and aluminum sectional pole with clamp base included. The pole breaks into 3 to 4 sections and reassembles without tools for transport and reuse.
- Size Range
- Flag height runs 6 to 18 ft total depending on configuration selected.Flag width varies by the blade shape dimensions chosen at checkout.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.Outdoor lifespan runs roughly 3 to 6 months with regular event use. Indoor use extends lifespan significantly.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided standard. Double-sided with a blockout layer available. The blockout layer (a white interlining between two printed faces) stops show-through so both sides read correctly.
- Weight
- 4 oz fabric weight.Light enough for the clamp mount to hold securely on a table edge or tent pole without tipping or slipping.

Clamp Mounting That Grips Tables, Tent Poles, and Railings
The clamp base bites onto any surface with an edge up to roughly 2 in thick. That covers folding trade show tables, tent pole tubes, metal railings, and fence posts without needing a ground spike or freestanding base. You get branded vertical display at eye level while keeping every square foot of floor space open for foot traffic and product. No drilling. No adhesive. Just clamp and go.
Dye Sublimation on 4 oz Polyester Mesh Fabric
Dye sublimation runs on every blade clip flag we print at A2Z Printing Hub. It's a process where ink converts to a gas and absorbs directly into the polyester fibers. The ink bonds into the 4 oz mesh rather than sitting on top, so color stays bold through repeated outdoor events without cracking or peeling. Full CMYK output means your logo and brand colors cover the entire blade face cleanly. And the open-weave mesh structure lets some air pass through, which reduces stress on the clamp and pole during wind.
Blade Silhouette With Fiberglass and Aluminum Pole Hardware
The blade shape runs a straight edge and sharp silhouette. Sturdy by design. The fiberglass top section bends in wind without snapping, while the aluminum base sections hold the pole rigid at the clamp point. The full pole breaks into 3 to 4 sections for transport, so the whole kit fits in a carry bag that goes into an overhead bin. Reassembly needs no tools.

Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Permanent freestanding outdoor flagging is not what this product is built for. Advertising Flags with a ground spike or cross base handle season-long, fixed-location display.
Large-scale roadside visibility above roughly 8 ft and beyond 50 ft sight distance needs a taller solution. Giant Flags in the Advertising Flags line are built for that job.
A primary booth backdrop, the large printed surface behind your table, calls for a different product entirely. Retractable Banner Stands cover that need.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Custom Blade Clip Flags configuration.
-
Clip Flag Versus Backpack Flag for Your Event Type
A clip flag stays fixed. It grips a table edge, tent pole, railing, or fence and brands that spot for the full event. A backpack flag moves with a person through a crowd. For a trade show booth table, the clip flag is the right call. It keeps your brand at eye level without pulling a brand ambassador away from the booth.
Add it to your cart alongside your table cover order.
-
Single-Sided Versus Double-Sided Print for Your Booth Layout
Go single-sided when foot traffic approaches your booth from one direction only. Your design reads cleanly on the face, and the mirror image on the reverse doesn't matter. Go double-sided with a blockout layer (a white interlining that stops color from bleeding through) when attendees walk around all four sides of your table.
Both faces read correctly instead of one showing a reversed image. Double-sided costs more, but it's worth it in an open floor plan.
-
Flag Height Based on Mounting Surface and Crowd Density
-
Standard Trade Show Tables
A flag in the 6 to 8 ft range clears a 30 in table surface and rises above seated attendees. Check your venue ceiling height before ordering anything above 8 ft indoors. Convention center rigging grids sit at roughly 10 to 12 ft in most halls.
-
Outdoor Tent Poles and Fence Lines
Match flag height to the pole so the blade clears the canopy edge by at least 1 ft. In a crowded vendor row, a taller configuration around 10 ft total lets the blade read from roughly 20 to 25 ft away. That's usually enough to pull foot traffic before they pass your booth.
-
Blade Clip Flag Versus Blade Advertising Flag for Your Setup
Here's the thing: the blade shape exists in two mounting formats. The clip version grips any surface with an edge using a clamp base. The advertising version stands independently on a ground spike or cross base in soil or on hard surfaces.
Can't plant a flag in the ground at your venue? The clip version is your only option. Order the clip flag for your table or tent pole, then pair it with a cross-base advertising flag outside the venue entrance for coverage at both points.
Pair it with
Brand the Table Surface Below the Flag
A blade clip flag claims the vertical space above your table. A Custom Table Cover claims the surface itself. Together, every inch of your booth footprint carries your brand from tabletop to eye level. Add a Custom Canopy Tent and you get a tent pole to clamp the flag onto at outdoor events.
Compare Other Clip Flag Shapes
The blade silhouette suits a clean, modern look. But shape personality changes what your display communicates. Custom Teardrop Clip Flags keep the logo taut on a rounded frame with zero sag. Custom Rectangle Clip Flags give you maximum printable area for QR codes or text-heavy messaging.
Take the Same Blade Shape Into the Crowd
Clip flags hold a fixed position. Custom Blade Backpack Flags use the identical blade silhouette on a wearable harness, so brand ambassadors carry your brand through the crowd while the clip flag holds the booth.
When the Clip Flag Isn't Enough on Its Own
Blade clip flags work at close range. Advertising Flags on a cross base mark your venue entrance from roughly 30 to 50 ft away. Custom Banners hung on fence lines or railings cover wider messaging alongside the clipped flags.
FAQs
Get your artwork right
Custom Blade Clip Flags print at full CMYK color across the blade face. File setup determines whether that color comes out crisp or soft at event distance.
- Accepted formats
- PDF, PNG, JPG, AI. Vector files (AI or PDF) are preferred for logos because they scale without losing edge sharpness.
- Resolution
- Minimum 150 DPI at final print size. Go to 300 DPI for any design element under 4 ft in height. That's where attendees get close enough to spot a soft edge on a logo curve or letter.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all four edges. Anything outside the safe zone may trim during finishing.
- Safe zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from the trim edge. The blade silhouette has a pointed tip. Elements too close to that tip get cut off.
- Color mode
- Submit files in CMYK, not RGB. RGB is a screen color system. CMYK matches how we print, so colors on your screen match the flag face. RGB files convert during production and the shift can pull brand colors off-target.
Our free online design tool lets you build directly on the blade template. A professional design service is also available at checkout if you'd rather hand it off. Submit your logo and our team sends you a free digital proof showing your branding on the flag shape within 24 hours.
Shipping and delivery
How to Order
- Choose your blade clip flag height and select single-sided or double-sided print. The configurator shows which clamp and pole options match your selection.
- Upload your design in PDF, PNG, JPG, or AI format. Keep text large and bold. The blade face is smaller than a freestanding flag, and fine details won't read at event distance.
- Approve your free digital proof showing your design on the blade shape. Production starts within 1 to 2 business days after approval. The clamp hardware and pole sections ship with the flag in a single box.
- Every order includes a free digital proof before we print. If anything looks off, we adjust at no charge.
Production and Shipping Timeline

Care instructions
Flag Fabric
- Hand wash the flag with mild soap and cold water. Air dry completely before folding or storing. Do not machine wash. Agitation damages the open-weave mesh edges and shortens the fabric lifespan.
- Replace the flag print when edges show fraying or color fades after roughly 3 to 6 months of outdoor event use. Replacement prints are available without buying new clamp or pole hardware.
Clamp and Pole Hardware
- Wipe the clamp mechanism with a dry cloth after each event and check the spring tension periodically. Replace the clamp if it no longer grips a surface edge securely.
- Wipe pole sections with a dry cloth after outdoor events. Check threaded connectors for sand or debris. Debris in the threads makes reassembly harder and can strip the connector over time.
