How to orderSpecifications
Step and Repeat S Shaped Tension Fabric Displays run on a 10 ft aluminum EZ Tube frame in a serpentine S-curve configuration. The graphic is stretch polyester (a tight-weave fabric that pulls taut over the frame so the surface stays smooth with no visible wrinkles or sag). These displays suit galas, press events, and luxury brand activations where the backdrop itself carries as much weight as the logos printed on it.
- Material
- Stretch polyester fabric. Pulls taut over the EZ Tube frame so the graphic surface stays wrinkle-free and smooth.
- Print Method
- Dye sublimation. Ink converts to gas and bonds into the polyester fibers, giving a matte surface that won't crack or peel.
- Color Output
- Full-color CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined to reproduce any brand color). Submit logo files in CMYK for the closest color match.
- Finishing
- Pillow-case sleeve. The fabric graphic zips around the frame, hiding all hardware so no connectors or tubes appear in photos.
- Size Range
- 10 ft aluminum EZ Tube frame. The S-curve uses the full 10 ft span across the serpentine shape. Contact us for custom sizing.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Indoor use only. Not rated for outdoor wind or rain. Plan for a covered venue or enclosed event space.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided graphic display. Position the graphic face toward the camera and the frame back toward a wall or drape.
- Weight
- 8 to 25 lbs depending on display type and size. The included carry bag holds frame sections and fabric graphic for one or two-person transport.

Serpentine S-Curve Frame With Dye-Sublimated Stretch Fabric
The S-shaped frame flows forward and back across the full 10 ft span. Every photo gets a backdrop with real depth. Flat walls sit behind subjects. This one wraps around them. The S-curve adds dimension that a flat wall simply can't replicate, so gala and press event photos look designed, not staged. Setup is tool-free, and the carry bag is included.
EZ Tube Aluminum Frame and Pillow-Case Graphic System
The EZ Tube frame snaps together without tools. It breaks into sections and fits in the included carry bag, so your team loads in and out without renting freight carts. Two people can carry the full kit from a vehicle to the event floor in one trip. No dollies. No freight staging. A2Z Printing Hub builds the carry bag into every order so logistics don't become a last-minute problem at your venue.
The pillow-case sleeve zips around the EZ Tube frame like a fitted cover, hiding all hardware from view. Clean surface. No visible connectors in photos.
Flash-Safe Matte Surface for Press and Red Carpet Photography
Dye sublimation printing converts ink into a gas and bonds it directly into the stretch fabric fibers. The result is a matte finish with no coating on top. Camera flash hits the fabric and absorbs. No hot spots. No glare bouncing back at the lens. Every sponsor logo reads clearly in shots taken under event lighting, which is the single thing PR teams care most about when they're running a press line.
Sharp logos. Bold color. Done in 1 to 2 business days.

The S-shape of this EZ Tube backdrop is so dynamic and stylish! It adds a unique flair to our event photos. Assembly was a bit different but manageable with the instructions.
Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Single large-design backdrops with one graphic instead of a repeating logo pattern. Backdrops (straight, curved, or shaped tension fabric walls) handle that job better.
Simple portable displays where a photo wall isn't needed. Retractable Banner Stands or Non Retractable Banner Stands are the right call there.
Outdoor photo walls exposed to wind or rain. This display is rated for indoor use only.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Step and Repeat S Shaped Tension Fabric Displays configuration.
-
Flat Step and Repeat vs S-Shaped Tension Fabric Display
Here's the thing: most events do not need the S-curve. A straight tension fabric display costs less, sets up in roughly the same time, and reads cleanly on camera. The S-shaped display earns its place when the backdrop itself must function as a design statement, not just a logo wall. Fashion activations, luxury galas, and award ceremony red carpets fall into that category. If your event is a press conference or a casual trade show photo op, go straight and save the budget. Go with the S-curve when visual drama is part of the brief.
-
Venue Layout and the S-Curve Footprint
The serpentine shape needs roughly 10 ft of linear wall space plus side clearance for the curve depth. Tight venues do not always have that clearance. Measure your load-in corridor and your photo station before ordering. A narrow alcove or a column cutting into the photo area is a real problem. A straight or curved tension fabric display fits those spots more predictably without giving up the fabric surface quality.
-
Photography Setup and Lighting Conditions
-
Flash or No Flash
Your photographers' setup matters more than most buyers expect. The dye-sublimated stretch fabric on this display absorbs camera flash without creating hot spots (bright washed-out patches that obscure logos in photos). Vinyl step and repeat banners reflect flash and lose logo readability in roughly half the shots. Any fabric option, including this one, is the right call for press events and red carpets where flash is standard.
-
Logo Readability on a Curved Surface
Logos placed on the S-curve read clearly in photos when your design tiles the pattern across the full serpentine span. The curve does not distort logos. It adds depth behind the subject. Submit your logo files in CMYK so the color match at print stays tight.
-
Sizing the Display for Your Group and Camera Distance
For groups of 1 to 3 people, the 10 ft S-curve gives enough width that the serpentine shape fills the background without cropping at the edges. For groups of 4 or more, your camera distance should be at least 9 ft so the full curve reads in frame. Order early enough that your team can test the setup at the venue before guests arrive.
Pair it with
Brand the Space Around the Photo Wall
A branded table placed in front of the S-curve turns your check-in or sponsor area into a complete visual unit. Retractable Banner Stands flanking the left and right sides of the display add eye-level messaging where guests pause before stepping in front of the camera.
Other Step and Repeat Shapes in the EZ Tube System
Your venue layout or event format may call for a different curve. Each option below uses the same snap-together aluminum frame and pillow-case graphic system.
Guide Guests From the Door to the Camera
Custom Flags at venue entrances or along a corridor point attendees toward the photo station from roughly 25 ft away. The S-curve backdrop draws steady traffic throughout the event without extra signage.
Full-Environment Upgrades for Larger Activations
Trade Show Booths give you a complete branded environment when the photo wall is one part of a bigger activation. Backdrops handle the same EZ Tube frame system when you need one large graphic instead of a repeating logo pattern.
FAQs
Is the S-Curve Frame Harder to Assemble Than a Straight Backdrop?
Not by much. The EZ Tube frame uses snap-together aluminum sections with no tools, and two people can assemble the full S-curve display in about 15 minutes. The serpentine shape adds a few extra sections compared to a straight frame, but the connection method is identical. Your team will not need freight carts or extra crew.
Will Repeating Logos Stay Readable Across a Curved Surface in Photos?
Yes. The curve creates depth behind the subject rather than distorting the surface. Dye sublimation bonds ink directly into the stretch fabric fibers, so logos stay sharp across the full 10 ft span. The matte surface absorbs flash without glare, which is the main reason logos wash out on vinyl. Every sponsor reads clearly in photos taken from roughly 5 to 7 ft away.
Can I Replace Only the Fabric Graphic When My Event Branding Changes?
That is exactly how the system is built. The EZ Tube aluminum frame is reusable across events. Order a replacement fabric graphic separately when your sponsor logos or branding updates, and the new pillow-case sleeve zips over the same frame. Replacement graphics ship lighter than the full kit, so shipping costs drop on reorders.
How Many People Does It Take to Set Up the EZ Tube Frame On-Site?
Two people is the practical minimum. One person holds sections in position while the other connects the snap joints along the serpentine curve. Solo setup is possible but slower, and the S-curve sections need support at both ends while the middle connects. Budget about 15 minutes for two people on first setup, less once your team runs it a second time.
What If the Fabric Graphic Arrives With a Shipping Crease?
Steam it before the event. The stretch fabric responds to a handheld garment steamer in a few passes, and fold lines disappear once the fabric pulls taut over the frame. Do not iron directly on the graphic surface. If a crease persists after steaming, the tension from the pillow-case sleeve typically pulls it flat once the fabric is zipped onto the frame.
Get your artwork right
File format matters before anything else. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and AI files. AI is vector format: artwork built from scalable paths rather than pixels. Send vector files whenever your brand assets include them for the sharpest logo output at any print size.
- Resolution
- minimum 150 DPI, recommended 300 DPI for logos and text within 4 ft of the camera. Closer camera distances reveal soft edges that lower resolution hides on screen.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all four edges. The pillow-case sleeve wraps around the frame edges, so artwork without bleed shows a white border in photos.
- Safe zone
- keep all logos and text at least 0.5 in inside the trim line. Anything closer risks getting clipped when the fabric zips over the frame.
- Color mode
- submit files in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, the four ink channels we print with). RGB files shift color at print. CMYK files match your brand colors as closely as the fabric surface allows.

Care instructions
Product care
- Unzip the pillow-case fabric graphic from the EZ Tube frame after each event. Machine wash cold with mild detergent and tumble dry low. Steam any fold lines before the next event so the surface hangs smooth and flat on camera.
- Do not fold the fabric graphic along the same crease repeatedly. Rotating your fold lines between events keeps the fabric from developing a permanent crease that shows under event lighting.
- Wipe the aluminum EZ Tube frame sections with a dry cloth after each use. Check the snap connectors for dust or debris before reassembling, and do not stack heavy items on the frame sections in storage.
- Store the frame sections and fabric graphic together in the included carry bag. Keep the bag upright or flat in a dry space. Avoid leaving it in a hot vehicle trunk for extended periods, as heat can affect the snap connector fit.
