How to orderSpecifications
Step and Repeat fabric pop up curved displays use a spring-loaded accordion frame paired with a dye-sublimated tension fabric graphic in a gently curved shape. The matte polyester surface absorbs flash, making these displays the go-to choice for press events, galas, and corporate brand activations where photos are the primary deliverable.
- Material
- Tension fabric polyester graphic on a spring accordion frame. The matte surface absorbs camera flash instead of reflecting it back at the lens.
- Print Method
- Dye sublimation (ink heats into a gas and bonds directly into the polyester fibers).Colors stay bold and do not crack, peel, or fade the way surface-printed vinyl does.
- Color Output
- Full-color CMYK across the entire graphic surface.CMYK uses cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to reproduce any logo color accurately.
- Finishing
- Single-sided graphic with printed end caps.End caps are the fabric panels that wrap the frame edges, keeping every visible side looking finished.
- Size Range
- Available in 8 ft and 10 ft booth sizes. The 8 ft width suits 1 to 3 people. The 10 ft width gives groups of 4 or more room without crowding the frame edge.
- Indoor/Outdoor Rating
- Rated for indoor use only. Not rated for outdoor wind or rain.Indoors, the fabric graphic typically holds its color for years with proper care.
- Single/Double-Sided
- Single-sided printing standard. The curved frame faces one direction, so single-sided output covers every surface the camera sees.
- Weight
- 8 to 25 lbs depending on size. A carry bag is included with every unit. One person can transport the full display without additional cases or carts.

Accordion Frame That Opens in Under 1 Minute
The spring-loaded accordion frame (a collapsible steel structure that expands by pulling outward from the center) stands fully upright in under 1 minute without tools. Your team doesn't clip poles together or thread fabric onto rods. Pull the frame open, attach the graphic, and the display stands on its own. Load-in time stays on the event, not the hardware.
Dye-Sublimated Fabric With Zero Flash Glare
Tension fabric polyester carries the graphic on every display we build at A2Z Printing Hub. Dye sublimation converts ink into a gas that bonds directly into the polyester fibers, giving the surface a matte finish. Matte fabric absorbs camera flash instead of bouncing it back at the lens. Logos stay crisp and readable in every shot a photographer takes, even at close range with direct flash.
Curved Surface That Adds Depth to Every Photo
The curved display surface wraps slightly around photo subjects and creates visual depth behind them. Logos read more clearly at any camera angle than a flat wall does, because the curve follows the natural arc of a group of people standing in front of it. Sharp color. Bold logos. No dead angle. That's what the curve gives you that a straight wall cannot.
Customer reviews
The curved design is unique and modern, helping our event stand out. The fabric graphic looked seamless and professional. Very happy with the overall look and ease of use.
We used the curved fabric pop-up display for a photo booth at our wedding, and it was a hit! The curve provided a nice backdrop for group photos. Setup was quick and hassle-free
The fabric material combined with the curved shape gives a soft yet professional appearance. It looked fantastic at our corporate event. Easy to transport and assemble.
The curve of this display creates a nice sense of depth in photos. It looks more visually interesting than a flat backdrop. Setup was still quick and easy thanks to the pop-up frame.
The curved design of this fabric pop-up display adds a touch of elegance to our events. It looks more dynamic than a straight backdrop and provides a stylish photo opportunity.
Ideal for
Not the best fit for
Single full-graphic backdrops with one large image instead of a repeating logo pattern. Step and Repeat Straight Tension Fabric Displays handle that better for flat-wall branded environments.
Outdoor photo walls exposed to wind or rain. This display is rated for indoor use only. Custom Vinyl Banners with grommets are the right call for outdoor setups.
Your event needs logos visible on three walls simultaneously. Step and Repeat U Shaped Tension Fabric Displays wrap around the subject on three sides.
How to choose
Use these buying points to choose the right Step and Repeat fabric pop up curved displays configuration.
-
Curved Pop Up Versus Straight Pop Up
Photos are the deciding factor here. The curved surface wraps slightly around photo subjects and creates depth behind them, so logos read clearly from any camera angle. A straight pop up sits flat, which works well when your display needs to line up flush against a stage or existing structure. Choose the curved pop up when every photo taken in front of it is a deliverable. Both open in under 1 minute, so setup time does not tip the decision either way.
-
Pop Up Frame Versus EZ Tube Tension Fabric
Here's the thing: your load-in window is the real test. The pop up frame opens in under 1 minute and one person can do it alone. The EZ Tube tension fabric system (a snap-together aluminum frame with a pillow-case graphic) takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes and typically needs 2 people. The EZ Tube gives a cleaner, more even curved surface. But if your team is setting up alone or your venue gives you fewer than 5 minutes at load-in, start with the pop up frame every time.
-
8 ft Versus 10 ft
Match the width to your expected group size, not your gut instinct.
-
8 ft Works for Individual Arrivals and Small Groups
Order the 8 ft size for solo arrivals, interview setups, and photos of 1 to 3 people. The frame stays compact enough for one person to carry and position without help.
-
10 ft Gives Groups Room to Stand
Order the 10 ft size when groups of 4 or more will stand in front of the display at the same time. A wider surface gives photographers more flexibility without adding setup time. When you're uncertain, size up.
-
Freestanding Display Versus Flat Banner
Your venue decides this one. This display is freestanding, so it works anywhere in a room without a wall behind it. If your venue has a solid back wall and you want the lowest possible cost, a Step and Repeat Fabric Banner hung with pole pockets is the simpler option. But if you need to position the photo station away from the perimeter, or if the venue has no suitable wall, the freestanding pop up is the right call.
Pair it with
Complete the Photo Station Around the Display
Your curved backdrop handles the wall. These products brand every other surface guests touch on the way to the photo. A printed Table Cover turns the check-in or registration table directly in front of your display into a branded surface that reads clearly in wide-angle shots. Crowd Control Barrier Fabric Stands build a branded queue line that guides guests toward the photo area and keeps the shot clean from any camera angle.
Alternative Pop Up and Tension Fabric Formats
Same instant setup, different surface. Step and Repeat Fabric Pop Up Straight Displays give you the same under-1-minute setup on a flat wall when you don't need the curve. Step and Repeat Curved Tension Fabric Displays use a snap-together EZ Tube aluminum frame for a cleaner, more even curved surface when setup time is not a constraint.
Flanking Displays That Extend the Branded Zone
Retractable Banner Stands placed 3 to 4 ft on either side of your curved display add sponsor messaging or event details at eye level without competing with the photo wall itself.
Different-Category Products That Finish the Event Environment
Custom Flags at the venue entrance direct guests toward the photo station from roughly 30 ft away. Backdrops (single-design tension fabric walls) work alongside your step and repeat when a stage or speaker area at the same event needs a separate branded background.
FAQs
Does the Curved Shape Make Setup Harder Than a Straight Pop Up?
No, and this is the objection we hear most often. The accordion spring frame opens the same way whether the finished surface is straight or curved. The curve is built into the frame geometry itself, so you do not adjust anything during setup. One person can open, position, and stand the display in under 1 minute.
Can One Person Open and Position This Display Without Help?
Yes. The spring frame expands on its own once you release it. Position the display, let it stand, and you're done. The carry bag and frame together weigh 8 to 25 lbs depending on size, so one person can move it across a venue floor without a cart.
Will the Repeating Logo Pattern Still Read Clearly on a Curved Surface?
It does, and the curve actually helps. A flat wall can create uneven logo visibility depending on where a photographer stands. The gentle curve keeps logos facing forward across a wider angle, so logos read clearly whether the camera is centered or slightly off to one side. Dye-sublimated fabric at 300 DPI keeps edges crisp at any zoom.
How Do I Know the Colors in My Proof Will Match What Prints on the Fabric?
We print in full-color CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black combined to reproduce any logo color). Your digital proof shows the repeating layout at actual color values. Our team checks your file for color mode before sending the proof, so if your file arrives in RGB we flag it before anything goes to print. Approve the proof, and what you see is what ships.
Can I Replace Just the Fabric Graphic Without Buying a New Frame?
Yes. Replacement fabric graphics are available separately, and they ship lighter and faster than a full kit. The accordion frame lasts through repeated events. When your branding changes or a sponsor rotates out, order a new graphic and attach it to the same frame you already own.
Get your artwork right
Step and repeat designs use a repeating tile pattern across the full surface, not a single large graphic. Logos must be at least 4 to 6 in tall to read clearly in photos taken from 4 to 6 ft away. Worth knowing: the curved surface needs slightly more bleed on the side edges to account for the wrap, so don't treat it like a flat banner file.
- Accepted formats
- PDF, PNG, JPG, AI. Vector files (AI or PDF with outlined fonts) are preferred for logos because they scale without softening.
- Resolution
- 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI recommended at final print size. Anything under 150 DPI will show soft edges on the fabric.
- Bleed
- 0.25 in on all sides. Side edges need extra bleed for the curve wrap.
- Safe zone
- Keep all text and logos at least 0.5 in from every edge.
- Color mode
- CMYK, not RGB. CMYK matches how we print, so colors on the fabric come out as expected from what you see on screen.
For multi-sponsor layouts, upload each logo as a separate file and note your preferred arrangement. Our free online design tool handles logo tiling and spacing, and a professional design service is available if you want us to build the layout for you.
Submit your artwork as a print-ready file and our team sends you a free digital proof within 24 hours.
