Custom Tension Fabric Trade Show Displays - FAQ
Nearly all of them. Every Trade Show Booth configuration (all 42 products across Inline, Curved, Modular, and Arch formats) uses 8 to 9 oz polyester knit with dye sublimation printing. Backdrops, Step and Repeat walls, Sky Tube Hanging Banners, and tabletop displays all use the same material. Some retractable banner stand models offer vinyl as an alternative, but fabric is the default across the catalog.
Yes. Polyester knit resists tearing under frame tension, and dye sublimation ink bonds permanently into the fibers at high heat during printing. The color layer sits inside the fabric, not on top of it, so it cannot crack, peel, or flake from machine washing or repeated folding. Graphics last roughly 3 to 5 years of regular show use with proper care.
The short answer: yes, and the photos prove it. Fabric produces a matte surface with no glare under overhead convention hall lighting. Vinyl reflects those same lights, creating hot spots that wash out logos and gradients in booth photos. Side by side under show floor lighting, fabric reads with consistent color from any viewing angle while vinyl shifts depending on where the attendee stands.
Yes. Replacement graphics are available for every frame we sell. You do not need to replace the hardware to update your booth design. Replacement fabric-only orders typically ship in 2 to 3 business days because there's no frame assembly or hardware quality check involved. Teams running 4 or more shows per year often keep one frame set and order fresh graphics per campaign.
The attachment method and material are the core difference. Tension fabric uses 8 to 9 oz polyester knit with a silicone-beaded edge that zips into a channel groove on the aluminum frame, pulling the graphic taut and smooth. Vinyl pop-up displays use a heavier graphic panel with hook-and-loop or magnetic attachment, which can wrinkle and reflects overhead lighting. Fabric folds flat into a carry bag and weighs less than most vinyl kits.
