   Size comes down to distance and sidewalk noise. The standard 24 x 36 in panel reads clearly from roughly 10 to 15 ft, which covers most sidewalk spots directly in front of a storefront entrance. But if your sign sits farther back, faces a busy corner, or competes with heavy foot traffic, step up to the 32 x 48 in panel. That extra surface area lets bold chalk lettering stay readable from farther away without you needing a second sign.

Resolution

minimum 150 DPI, recommended 300 DPI. At 300 DPI, text and edges on a 24 x 36 in panel stay sharp up close, where cafe guests and shoppers actually read the sign.

Bleed

0.25 in on all sides. Bleed is the extra image area beyond the trim edge that prevents white borders if the cut runs slightly off.

Safe zone

keep text and logos at least 0.5 in from all edges. Anything closer risks getting clipped during finishing.

Color mode

CMYK, not RGB. CMYK matches how our printers lay down ink, so colors on your screen come out as expected on the panel. RGB files can shift toward orange or muddy tones after conversion.
